I think the deposits and withdrawals will be handled by MindArk with a fee for depo by credit card and a fee for withdrawals.
Yep I think it all goes through MindArk and they take their standard fee! It's all avatar based... just a hunch ;)

Hm, the platform is EU and EU is MindArk. So NextIsland has as currency of necessity PED. So we pay the RL money to MindArk and the PEDs we loose here on NextIsland will partly go to NextIsland... I don't think, that an own currency on a planet would work. Because MindArk is responsible for the platform and the stability of our PEDs... Btw.: You know, that PED means Project Entropia Dollars? *grin* After the renaming into Entropia Universe they should have been renamed to EUDs... But that doesn't sound that good. ;) So, no NIDs for us, I think...
Different currencies will lead to an exchange rate - do you reall want to try an figure out how much an item on calypso will cost as opposed to what it costs on NI? Will you need to change your cash from NID(next island dollars) to PED, and what will that cost, if you want to visit Calypso, and change again if going to RT or even FOMA? What if the players/traders of Calypso decide that they will only accept PED, and that NID is worth 50 PEC? Way to complex and fraught with trouble IMHO.
One type of currency is plenty to deal with but at the same time it would be nice to see different currency with the planets. -Bemo-
