Meg, following the threads that are listed, wrongly, on the sub-forums as having 0 replies, the problem seems to start around December 6th. This may be a coincidence but this is the date of the original of your 'Patch Notes' post, which seems to be being re-posted multiple times per day. That post, on the Front Page, gives a database error and I wonder if that post is corrupted somehow and is the cause of the whole problem. Have you tried deleting that original post?
Is there not someone in charge of the forum? This has been going on for over a month now. Its not that you found out recently that there is a problem. Is it that there is no one under your employment that can fix it? I am also still waiting on a reply that David forwarded an email to you about also about a month ago
I hope you fix it since search is broken, and most of the links you post in messages return a database error such as the link to Fed 7th update. So you may want to change the note to hold what is in the link.
Meg, let me first say that I appreciate that you are an intermediary between us and the rest of the NI team, and are not personally responsible for the forum issues. However, it is now 1 month since you started this thread, with the hope that things would be sorted soon. By my reckoning, through examining the threads that are listed with 0 replies, it is now just over 2 months since these problems with the forum started. Longer for the editing problems. I see no change. People are being patient and working round the problems, but for how long? Is anything being done? This forum is an advertising medium for Next Island. There are always guests viewing and some of those could be prospective players but will be turned away by what they see here.
SylverDragon, I've passed the forum issues on to management, who have promised me that every effort is being made to solve the forum problems. I really hope it will be sorted soon. I continue to post news on the dev blog (NextIsland.com/blog), so you are not without any NI communication, but I realize that that doesn't fill all the functions of this forum. I hope I will have good news for you all soon.
