Well well if so, let it be so As i see it there is very few ways finace the forum One is to beg for large donations from a minority of players and keep nagging them for more money The other is to let every member carry a small part of the costs I prefer the later and i think ever player that can afford PE can afford 1$ per month But im all open for better suggestions
Yep Im currently thinking[-o< , Hmm the avatar function is usally one of the first things ppl look for when they enter a forum. At least some do it that i know for sure. Agree 10 ped isnt a biggie for us and well not for many. So the sponsoring amount is fine imo. So u can count on me as sponsor if u continue with this site. On the other hand, perhaps wait a while with the sponsoring things until there are some more ppl around. Since its in a early and u want in more ppl to the place, having even sponsoring mentioned disturbs ppl if they are unacustomed with the place. I dont know how others work but if didnt knew u I wouldnt sponsord for a while here, I would wait a few months and check out the place, just to see if it grows and also if it stays up. Many sites pop up and disappear it seems. additional thoughts: Perhaps also add a function so that big amount posters get a chance, like sweating^^. so like at 1000 posts u get free avatar access. or well forum contributers who get sponsor status from helping this forum through posts and well bringing life to the place.
Well the whole idea with a payed subscription routine is that you only have to sign up for a month at the time if you like. So you only "risk" 1$ at the time! And i hope you forgive me for saying this, but first recruting members and afterwards raising the price for the membership, is in my opion a real bad idea! Even if the price still would be 1$ many would see that as a scam (im for one) The Forum will continue to run as long as anyone is interested in posting\reading about Entropia However the goal have never been to recruit 10k ppl and host alot of "junk threads". If we can reach 2-300 members and half of them would sponsor the forum, we could build an awsome site with hight quality material I hope you alll share that vision with me...
Yup agree hehe wouldnt mean raise it later but make all aware from start it will be like that a month from for exampel now. But I hope this work and yes I share ur visions I think. Just got a bit worried of a few deifferent reasons lol
