Had a rare log-in tonight and took part in some of the missions. Quite enjoyed having an actual aim to activities in EU for a change! Did a few of the swamp camp missions until they ran out, then headed for the outpost at Jason to try the 'easy' iron challenge. After a little orienteering it seems I now have to kill 100 argos. Hmm - lots of spent ammo anyone? Now I start to see - go and kill 100 mobs... well that's pretty much what I used to do in the game... why do I need a mission broker to tell me that? And I have to stock up with how much? Adding in the insult of all my 'kit' being 'tier 0.1' and being graciously upgraded every few mins (after several years of solid use/abuse in the field) and suddenly the fun was gone again. Guess I'll be going around a few more of these to see if there is anything else intereresting, but it's a shame MA came up with a great new feature, then put it right into the milking machine again to bleed out those peds :(
It's to be expected however if you are going to hunt argo, you may as well accept the mission first, after all, there will be almost no loot so you may as well get a reward at the end of it :), assuming the reward is worth having of course! They may just give you a skull!
Mmm - I'm wondering about these missions... Was the hit rate better, as in less of the 'MISS, MISS, MISS' bit, and was loot returns better than usual.
Typical. I just thought that as they're MA initiated excursions, that maybe they would be a bit more generous so as to make missions really popular.
my firt thought after doing a few missions was that MA created the missions system for the sole purpose of " Generating More Revinue" in Vu10. that would mean we are buying Attribute skills.
Sure, the average player will be paying for it since the average player is losing money playing. Basic dynamics of a real cash economy. If you get worse returns or not when doing missions I don't know, however I wouldn't think so as it's just regular hunting basically. Only difference is you got a counter for killed mobs.
I disagree. You can do missions that cost you 0 ped and you get reward. For example theres is quest chain that you dont have to spend any money doing, just running, and you get 2,5ped TT worth of first aid.
I did the Molisk mission, first is to scout the area, thru the Warror gen's, Arogo Hunters, Molisk, and Cronaduca's, and got my (Free) nova frags, :). So took on the kill 100 Molisk, 2 hours and 100 ped of ammo later, I was rewarded with agility incress, and 34.56 ped of loot............. concluding my agility skills cost 65.44 ped. a skill implant would have been cheeper
And? You choose to do the missions that cost money to make, and you lost. I chose to do the free one and got free skills.
