Mothership sighted above new island

Mmmm - I was going for a long swim (which basically means I crashed the Vtol into a tall tree and it bounced back into the sea) near one of the new islands yesterday, when a blurred apparition appeared up in the sky ahead of me. At first I thought it was a gfx-card glitch because of the water, but just to make sure, I went closer and closer only to discover that it was a mothership! Yet there was no green dot showing on the scope which meant it was abandoned. Or maybe it wasn't abandoned and I couldn't see any green dots because it was still too far away...

Went to get a closer look at the mothership with the Vtol which meant having to go fairly high up, but then I couldn't go any further because of a 'MA message' saying I didn't have a space thruster. This didn't make alot of sense to me, because although it was certainly high up, it was no way in space, and in any case Calypso already has a space station. Unless this mothership is being used as another space station.:o
