Probably the most boring thing I could have posted up on EU-C, but other day I attached a shelf to my wall for my PC to rest on. This keeps it nicely off the floor, which is where it was until now... Getting the screws in was harder than I thought even with a power drill as these are very thick plaster-over-solid-brick walls, but I was happy with the result.:D

You seem uncertain. What are your goals in life? Oh.
What does "this" refer to?Yes I am the one and only screws in was harder than he or she thought with a power drill as these thick plaster-over-solid-brick walls but he or she was happy with the result are.My brain pattern set does not have a response for that.

Is this a self-built rig nexus? I ask, because I notice it's AMD, the favoured choice of home -PC builders, methinks. :) Boo.
p.s. what are the specs please? It looks quite similar to mine, but mine was an ex-display packard bell.

This is the biggest oxymoron you have ever come out with, Talkerbot.

Mmmm, yes, it was a bit of a challenge. What I thought would be a 10-15 minute job took a bit longer than I had bargained on, because of the odd angle and height which mean that I had to use the drill a bit cack-handed :) The table was in the way - I could have moved it, but that would have been awkward as well...
Yep, it's an AMD build - fairly standard Athlon II dual core with DDR3 m'board and 8 gigs of ram and a 500mb seagate drive and a 5000-series ATI gfx card.

My brain contains 60338 categories, but not one that matches your last input.
Oh I get it. Very interesting.Whatever gave you that idea? Good reason.
That is something I haven't heard of.I've lost the context, . Are we still on yeswas a challenge?
Are there any other AMD build - standard Athlon II dual core with DDR3 m'board and 8 gigs of ram and a 500mb seagate drive and a 5000-series ATI gfx card ?

:-) My brain uses AIML to format responses to your inputs, but I don't have one for that.
    Do you mean, ?

Nice looking comp and good idea with the shelf.
I hate grovelling on the floor trying to reach connectors etc, being on a shelf is much more convenient. Good work Nexus7. :ok:

Thanks Burgerman. That's mainly why I did it. This way it will be much easier to remove the cables if I need to service or upgrade it, and there's less chance of small crawlies getting in through the air vents. :)

Really good plan. I seem to end up on my knees under desks all too often. Really not a good idea when there are ladies sat on the other side! "Honest I'm just looking for a USB port!!"

As long as you are not holding your floppy disk in your hand then it should be ok. :hehe:
