ComPet Bulletin #5 Hello everyone! We are happy to announce that the ComPet app has entered full production development following a successful prototyping phase. The prototype has provided useful feedback to the game design that will be input to the production development. The app is on schedule to be launched during the first quarter of 2016 with a beta version being released exclusively to ComPet deed holders, a few months prior to the release. If you have not yet had the chance to pick up a deed for yourself simply head on over to competgame.com before its too late! We have also launched a twitter account for ComPet where we will post more regular updates on the development of the game, check it out at twitter.com/playcompet Source
Whoever did the copy writing for the website completely confirms my beliefs about skilled people working at MindArk ;-) Also, 3d graphs? Really?
Ahhhhhhh the new-art-of-crowdfunding... (CLDs in this case) Ok, 1st they clearly mention the separate android app again : Then they say it will be HTML5 (application). Not a separate Android app : Skill based, random, very much similar to Entropia. Had to repeat that. ;p But the 3D graphs are truly breathtaking :
My guess is that they mean that it will be possible to play-it with a standard web browser or with a separate app, both based on HTML5.
We think too alike. It sounds a lot like they didn't start yet. 2016 is it? Can't they just give up now and invest the money in Entropia instead?
Maybe if they showed a pic or video of the prototype I might believe it. More and more I am glad I stayed well clear of this "Kickstarter without regulation or even a decent pitch"
Battle Arenas (ingame and web based) were planned for early 2015. Original announcements and compet-deeds exist since july 2014. Since 1 year we are the holders of useless deeds. Early 2015 passed by. But we knew it before, its MA, so np. http://www.entropiaplanets.com/threads/compet-app-and-compet-deeds.11614/
I'd say that is unlikely. Certainly myself I've been advising anyone who will listen to steer well clear of them. Only exception would be someone who was willing to invest just a small amount in the same way they would in a lottery. ie small risk for small chance of seeing any return but if there is a very small chance a) it will happen and b) it will be popular then they might be valueable. The odds against it are astronomical though.
I sold all of my (oldskool) items and weapons and bought CLDs, AUDs and yes, even Compet deeds. As I still dont play hardcore, this gives me a steady income and the day I decide to quit, it will be a very fast sale. Hence the phrase "Compet deeds are useless since 1 year". Doesnt matter if MA calls it "new art of crowdfunding". Bah. They never change. Maybe all deeds are useless in 1 year and I wont be able to cash out another sum...but that doesnt matter as well, as I still play for free. Loosing come CLDs, AUDs and Compet Crap wouldnt hurt me. Thats why I also do not complain about the 45% returns in loot, that so many ppl experience. Me as well. :)
I know you too well. I also live the deed life. Smaller amounts than you I grant but then I've always been an explorer which doesn't cost so much
