Who cares I'm not 10 years old anymore and I'm certainly not involving any of my own children in any of MindArks pyramid schemes
I think its just a way for MA to open up to new people. Seems to be a game for tablets/smartphones so they just want to reach a huge amount of potential customers that they would never reach with their current desktop-game.
That certainly worked for Eve Online and the Dust 514 franchise which is due to shut down at the end of May /s
Lets be clear about this. Compets is a set of promises and images depicting concept art made by a company that has been repetitively proven to be unreliable in its predicted time scales or work delivered. Nothing more, nothing less.
Compets doesn't even link into PE. You can hear the conversation "We need an app game" - and that's probably as far as the thought process went !
would be nice if it allowed you to put in a team of pets, and made it sort of like Final Fantasy, but I doubt that'll happen, unless you count buffs, etc.
It got announced as an app back in the days, but its not. Actually it is HTML5 based and a game on a website. Sure you can play it on a (powerfull) tablet, but not entering Android market, MA once again left out another chance. Only god knows why. We already got this shabby android app "Virtual Tycoon"...whoever thought this name would fit... The beta was planned to be released this month (3.2016). I didnt recieve any mail or download link yet, but I own compet deeds. Would like to do a video review
Wait... it isn't even a mobile platform game? OK I know it isn't an anything anything game to be true but if we were to humour them for a moment, seriously? not mobile? Who buys or plays browser games?
