found via Drudge Report where the headline read slightly edited... http://www.drudgereportarchives.com/data/2016/10/25/20161025_230105.htm

I wasn't raising an eyebrow until the above quote. Seriously, what mindset does it take to draw such a connection? (Rhethorical question.)

I was happy that this anonymity actually takes away all the bs and lets you deal with people in the moment. But they can't leave anyone in peace, not on earth, not even in their minds. If I didn't hate before, it is growing on me.

No... but I want to believe that Drudge at least has a few checks in place before linking a story.

  8. The original source of this 'story' is Medium. Now, if you go to that site and take a look at the Editors' picks in the right sidebar, the first one is Why I was late today, and will probably always be late as a black woman, which is even more ridiculous than it sounds.

Long story short: there's a site that promotes stuff like this, and they're quite successful at getting more of it.

If I would learn this shit isn't true I would be relieved. But this world is already so mad, and this is just one example out of many. If it ain't so there then it is somewhere else.

I was in Second Life when the concept of thought crime got re-introduced. Reason was some people's controversial adult game with underage-looking avatars. Disgust aside, nobody got harmed, clear case of victimless crime. We live out killing sprees in our games all the time and nobody bothers. Yes, some SJW's actually do, and they are obnoxious. This feminist shit is in the same vein, it has nothing to do with equality. I don't want the last bit of free space where I can be "incorrect", which is virtual space, ruled by such people.

Well, I think we all know that it does happen in EU from time to time. We don't have the VR headsets or quite the virtual control as used in the game above but we all have seen the stalker running around after female avatars, doing the lewd dance on them or just getting right up behind them just to irritate them. Making lewd comments and basically just making their gameplay impossible.

If the affection is not returned.. If they are asked to stop but continue.. it is harassment and should be reported to MA.

Yes. Again, harrassment isn't what I was pointing at, but the idiotic call by idiot fanatics for making more idiotic rules which would affect all of us.

I've had that happen from time to time (more so in the early years - I think because MMO's were newer then) since 2004 in PE. The day it actually bothers me is the day I stop leading a meaningful existence.

The fact is that no busy person ever complained about anything other than being too busy... so what does that say about these people? Quite simply that they are either "on the take", bored, unemployed or have no productive or engaging hobbies that they would rather spend their time on. Instead they sit around wingeing and hoping to get site hits to up their ad revenue or online clout with other wingers. If they can't find something to winge about that other people have not already covered, they make something up to be offended by.

    Sad sad world

  13. It's why MA should just make all of EU lootable pvp for situations like that. ;)

I'll admit it would be amusing to program a check for a certain set of criteria to be met that would allow pvp to be activated for a particular avatar if they violate certain rules. But that said, I wouldn't champion it as a priority!

However, I could well imagine it could be a really simple way for MA to get massive headlines and a viral news story if they did implement something like this. Tumblr would love it ;)

"MMO developer Mindark enables female avatars with automatic PVP abilities in response to griefing"...

I think I need to work on that headline a bit. Would be a popular one though. However I can well imagine it would lead to more griefing as people try out the new "feature" ;)
