  1. Lee

    Lee Forever Noob

Yeah I kind of think there is something we don't have access to yet as well Ajax, maybe even something we would earn through the noob missions once they are available. See the update is delayed now until tomorrow :(

  2. Enough of this time travel business:D What's wrong with teleport travel and funding the inter EU-planetary community at 40 or 50 PEDs a time! We get it back eventually with loot anyway

  3. Is wondering what everyones beef with Neverdie is about.. jelousy?? If so Phookin Grow up and grow a pair..damn cry babys..

  4. I think the majority of the "beef" is that he now has intimate details of upcoming releases on 2 planets. He is still a player avatar, and has many player friends. What if he, and I'm not saying he would, told his friends about an upcoming release that gave them an advantage over other players.

Example : What if he told all his friends that the new BP's for RT used sweat ( this is something he would have been privy to prior to release). What if they went out and bought a LOT of sweat for 2.5 ped per k. After the release they sold it all for 5 ped per k.

The possibility that others may gain an advantage because of prior knowledge is the problem. Again, i dont think ND would deliberately do it, but sometimes things do slip. People have avoided RT for that very reason, only to find that he is now in the same position on NI.

  5. As for time travel, there is a crystal suggesting such, unreleased mobs we already know about, portals to travel and even weapons dropping that say that you cant use it within this planet...how much more info do you need that time travel will be implemented? A glowing red branding rod to burn it into your forehead perhaps?

As for ND, I dont understand the whining either. He uses his name as a brand. If it were a company and no one knew the avar no one would complain. A simple case of jealousy, lost PED and those who dont like change. Its a business, and its working for him - hope he makes another few million. Haters should enjoy the game, stay on Calypso if its a problem and in 12 month whine about FOMA instead.

I see how this could be a concern, however, FPC employees have in game avars (not the pioneer types) and are encouraged to play the game. They global, they HoF, trade, skill etc. They cannot withdraw thier PED - that is the only difference. I don't hear anyone complaining about that.

As for the example of sweat, the BP's use a whole 25-50 sweat. This is hardly an economic changing advantage. A possible 3-5 mins of sweating.

  6. And that is exactly the point -ND can and does withdraw.

As for the 20-50 sweat, you're right its not much, until you start a big crafting run. Its not unusual to do a 1000 click crafting run on a lower level BP - thats 50k sweat, a little more than 5 mins work and around 250 ped in sweat ( based on the 5ped per k as mentioned)

  7. I understand your point. Not trying to flame. Simply a healthy discussion.

ND is a player, not an employee - your example was about giving away knowledge to others. FOMA now falls under the same category, not a developer, but a player and as such must interact with MA for a variety of changes to the asteroid. LA owners too, mine and hunt their own mobs (Skippy, Star...etc).

As for the sweat, its currently used only on ND armor plates where the TT cost of the sweat is minimal relative to all total of the materials and hardly something to craft in runs of 1000.

Only if the sweat were the major component of an item with low cost per craft would it be an issue. Also if it were an item to craft in lots of 1000 then, yes, I do completely agree it 'could' be an issue.

Im no ND fanboy but many players may have a different opinion if they were exposed to the other side of the fence.

Sorry to the original poster for diverging from the thread topic.
