New character.. Spawn killed.

Unfortunately, due to a bug that can't be fixed till the next update, new players spawn in the wrong places, usually surrounded by way bigger mobs than they can, or have the means to, handle.

Until this is resolved a lot of players, including me, are roaming the 'bad' teleporters, helping new players out. I'm really sorry to hear about your predicament, i hope you will be rescued soon and you won't hold an MA's fault towards Next Island.

 

press the letter P, and give us your Coordinates, and time you play "or better yet a specific meeting time"
Someone will come and rescue you. I will come look for you when I get home from work, if no one has yet

I also am currently running a rescue service til the turrets are ingame. Like Rufwon said .... him and I and a few others are willing and able to come get you out of the area you are trapped in. Like he said just need coords and a time you will be on.

Should be in the next week or so. There is a new VU coming out around the 6th or so and should be resolved then. Please don't take your few min in Next Island as the way the game is. Just give it til the next update. If you are interested in a tour I would be more than happy to take you and show you around.

In all honesty the game is still in its beta stages. Those who are playing now are subjecting themselves to various bugs and incomplete features in order to inform the developers of these problems. Actual public release isnt meant to happen until sometime mid January.

That being said functionally the game is fine, and theyre just putting the finishing touches on it right now. Patience, young Jedi. Besides the community here is good and helpful. As Bemo and others have said there are rescue services available for those starting out now.

I am in the same predicament. I just downloaded, created avatar, and now am unable to even move-let alone do anything at all since there are several boars (or monkeys or something) that kill me instantaneously. Honestly, this is just insulting.....and frankly, a dealbreaker. There's too many amazing MMOs out there to be this sort of glitch, even in the beta phase. Not even a "hello, here is how the game works!"? Seriously, I was literally thrown into instant death before I could even figure out the controls.

What I have read about the game seriously intrigues me and I'd be willing to give it another go....unless this is what it's going to be like. If so, no thank you.

My co'ords are: 127989, 86738, 117....................I think. Someone, please tell me/show me that this is NOT what this game is about. Save me Obi Wan, you're my only hope....

If you haven't been rescued by 3:30 entropia time I will be showing up at that time to your cords. press "u" to find out entropia time. If you can not be online at that time I will still lead the creatures away from the res. terminal. I can't say how long they will remain away though. Some people lure creatures to res terminals to "death train" and others do it just to be a pain.

That time would be roughly 20 hours from the time you posted. Sorry I can't get to you sooner, but it's 1 am here, and after I wake up I gotta go to work.

yes,the lack of turrets at rez points and tp's is a big issue, if it wasn't beta testing i would quit playing. the only thing keeping me in here is i started on calypso so i know this game is worth the time and effort to play. hope this issue is fixed yesterday.

300 rounds with opallo, still dead,1 red papoose young kill, thats MY money. will you postponed update be this year, or should i stay on Calypso?

pleaase help me. i just joined and i keep getting killed by these monkeys and boars..... there is nothing i can do. cant out run them...and no one is around to help me. what do i do?? it looks fun but i get killed and sometimes dont even get revided.!

If you don't revive automaticaly, it means that you pressed some key when the timer was running. Pressing "T" will start the timer again and get you to the revive. Keep in mind this also works when you are alive and just want to get quickly back to the closest revive point.

I'll log in and take a loot at the tp's. Chances are you won't be there any more, but someone else might need rescuing :)

 

I still try to pop round serpentine when I'm ingame to clear the revive and heal etc if noobies are stuck in the loop, but so far I've not found a single one that I remember who actually wanted to escape, as they were either afk or just wouldn't respond and kept running back into the mobs. I suspect the 'dying gives free skills' is a part of this for now, but I will keep trying to help in case it's actually needed and wanted.
