:( hugs, I have to admit I am at this point glad I was not successful in my attempts to make the crystals, angry that I wasted the ped, and angry for all of us who have hung on and tried so hard to love and support this place. You tried Kitten, and I for one thank you very much for letting us know what you found, I truly wish it had been a more completed place with lots of good feelings, for you and all of us.

 

Hopefully the NI live team will jump into high gear to get that placed fix asap.

 

Aww this is so sad sorry to hear it Kitten. I mean I have been expecting bad stuff to come from NDS and I am sure you know that. However I did not think they would go that far.
Just waiting for an official statement now really.

I think they should go a lot farther than a statement. Maybe return everything spent to get to an unfinished buggy place that traps you with no options, AND a very very nice gift for the person who went through all this.

Oh and maybe some Time Crystals for those who have wasted days/weeks gathering the components that are used to make the TC that go to this POS place...

Quite a few things to consider before the finger pointing starts yet again.

Fact is, we have no idea if the the owners of NI have even decided how they want Ancient greece to look, never mind what is in it, or even if they have the budget to get work completed. We just dont know do we !?! Go look at FPC and you will still see F-ups after all their years in the business...
. All things considered, i think NDS have done pretty darn well considering their workload (two planets) and for being such a young outfit.

Am i biast to ROCKtropia !? Yes, i am as biast to it and its creators as you are to your country of birth (most of you ) during the big match. :)

You must have been playing a different game then. What I have seen from NDS so far is a lot of unprofessional behaviour. Half-finished stuff is released and promoted as a functional product. Contractual agreements have either not been read, or were intentionally broken by the CEO of the company. After being pointed at the clause in the contract, said CEO ran off to the press, feeding them some misleading statements in which he victimizes himself, and points fingers elsewhere, rather than just fessing up he did not read the contract he signed, and he *still* did not get the hint, and is *still* using his avatar to engage in player-to-player transactions, as he was peddling shops at NI using his avatar.

If the workload is too high, hire more people. If the team is too young, hire experienced people. But in the name of all that is holy, do not release half-finsihed content and expect people to actually pay for it.

 

And the PCF arguments are starting......

 

Its debatable whether NDS's "fixes" are better then their bugs =/

Kitten hasn't even been there a full day and found the place completely
flawed. There's no way you can miss those bugs, they were left there
and released to the public.

 

One point you raised was you said there is no Trade Terminal. Thats gotta to be BS , did you explore the land looks vast and i think your emotions of being disappointed are getting the better of you, you said you die you get trapped forever that has to be not right, people are taking TPs for granted as back in project entropia in 2005 it took me ages to find my first tp, just think of it - its a new world , be adventurous, explore , im positive that MA would not release a destination without a Trade Terminal, maybe you have to find the herbs on the ground to put in the fap to work - I doubt it is bugged- Think how the ancients survived maybe there is another way to get what you need, the tools of survival are probably there but get that modern attitude out of your mind - open your mind and think as the romans did , im sure the storyline has been implemented , everyone says when something doesnt work , its bugged, its a scam etc.. look time travel is possible kitten proved that and im 1 crystal from going too (still failing the last 10 clicks on condition) so its not a scam unless your not prepared to put in time, and yes only one item a noob cannot get as ingredient is the Drake Heart but all the other ingredients are gettable Musc from Petit red papoo, Obsidian from grey papoo, Shark stuff from regular sharks (not island sharks), Chimera (bit tough cause cant see maturity) but some are easy, Bucanner Skeletons give all you need (avoid the quartermasters) , Drake Soul from Death Drake Youngs and ice drake youngs, storm drake youngs (fire drake bit tough). Anyway the fact is YES it is a condition click to get the 5ped tt required to craft and yes there is only a 1-10/15 chance of success but the parts only TT 1.25 per click so anyone (noob or uber) could get your crystals for about 50-70ped tt - just alot of grinding to get the ingredients , but another important point if people start clicking and not stockpiling the ingredients will drop frequently like they did in the past , if you continue to stockpile then ingredients will get rarer and rarer and much harder to get - so click away its not gonna make a difference whether you click now or later - if cheaper crystals come out you will still need 15ped tt to travel in crystals (that will not change) cheers:)

NB : im sure there were many testers at MA and NDS that tested this land and if no RCE economical systems have been implemented in any of there planets or destinations - it could have legal ramifications, and im sure MA would not risk it .

 

Are you kidding me? I'm sorry, but what you have offered does not excuse responsibility on the part of NDS to release a functioning product to people who are paying for it ... yes, players pay for it. To make available faulty BP's (according to posts by others), make the crafting process incredibly challenging, and then once accomplished, it is found that the environment isn't even fit to properly function in? Did you not read Kitten's posts?

You just don't release an incomplete product to paying customers ... simple as that! SDS has had bugs, some fixed, some not fixed, but the basics have always been there to at least work with. The situation we have here cannot be compared to that whatsoever.

I wouldn't call it arguments at all, but rather faulty comparisons, and the only thing being done here is a discussion of the facts that have already been presented based on a player's experiences ... complete with photos and everything. How do you argue with that? :) (not you specifically)

I appreciate that Kitten has shared as much as she has with us, but also feel for her that she has had to go through what she did, and continues to do so. Who sits in an incomplete segment of a game waiting for the next VU in hopes that things will work? I sure as hell wouldn't ... especially since it seems that NDS is focused more on ROCKtropia and the April 12th release of VU 2.0, as well as getting ready for SXSW, so I'm wondering where this leaves Next Island. Kitten may be waiting for a while.

Are we going to get some kind of official statement about this from either ND or David Post?

 

Ok heres some info that might help kitten

1 ) There are no TTs in ancient zones (they are zones of Next Island not new planets)
2 ) There are repair terminals supposely
3 ) There is storage
4 ) It is suppose to be FREE to get back to Next Island (Just T out of the zone)
5 ) Think of Ancient Greece as an HUGE LA (kitten said 83km x 83km or 8.3km x 8.3km (hope not the later) whichever one it is) but to gain entry 3 Crystals are Required
6 ) You dont need crystals to get back
7 ) Herb Faps supposely bugged.

Neverdie may clear up more info to help kitten - he said you should be able to get back for free - your not suppose to be stuck there, he said its going to be extremely tough at first - but it sounds like there are means to survival - Again Ancient Greece is not considered another planet its still Next Island but a different zone (like CP and Asteroid). Im sure he will clear things up shortly but he told me today its going to be tough for a while there..
