I have a Sleipnir I bought a long time ago (and don't use much) and, yesterday, I had the chance to buy a thruster put on auction by Kitten - thank you very much Kitten :) Today, for the first time, I entered space and visited Next Island's space station. Near the station, there is also a mothership called Ticonderoga. For this first trip I didn't take the risk to enter the lootable PvP area though. Here are some photos.
You welcome XD I knew there's ppl on NI wanting to explore space and stuck with no thrusters or welding wire so I made quite a bit of flights to other worlds to get us supplied. I hope you have lots of fun up there XD
I'm surprised your VTOL could fly - i was sure spiderwebs would have clogged all the systems :D Gratz for trip, hope you'll share more pictures of explorations in deeper space soon!
"Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space." Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy English humorist & science fiction novelist (1952 - 2001) Great pics, WangXiang!!
Meanwhile, I went through space with an age-old Sleipnir and landed on Calypso (I met no Daikiba during my journey). But I will come back to Next Island soon. I miss the Vulcan Drakes and my beach house too much :) Space flights are merely an escape, a fleeing away from oneself, because it is easier to go to Calypso or ROCKtropia than it is to penetrate one's own being. -- after Jung
Great picks, check out the Pirate base on your way back. The interior doesn't look like it's finished (looks like a structure partially constructed would look like, not like buggy or quickly thrown together), the astroids around it make for a great game of hide and seek. Although to my disappointment it does not seem to be a pirate gathering place.
