Starting Dr Shepherd's mission

To get the mission from Dr Shepherd, you must speak to Samuel first. Samuel will direct you to Shepherd's beach and once there Dr Shepherd will respond. If you don't talk to Samuel first, Dr Shepherd will just tell you that he's busy and you should come back later.

 

Well, I don't have enough crystals yet to complete the mission, but assuming the BP uses the same ingredients as Dr Shepherd asks you to get - 8 animal muscle oil, 8 refined danburite crystals and 8 papplon

Oh, and the reward for talking to Dr Shepherd is a can of Miranda Violet paint.
