Enjoying the new changes that the Next Island Dev team has done so far and look forward to more improvements in the near future. nearly 10 long years of meager development of the planet, finally someone has put some work in to hopefully make the planet worth living working and playing.. Next Island has been that lonely planet with so much potential.. Never having the dev team to fulfill the wishes of the players.. Perhaps now in 2019 the lonely planet can become something worthy of further development .
I don't know the team . but the devs do seem to be active on the Planet . they do seem to respond on facebook.. here is the website forum link but they seem to have forgotten it . https://nextisland.com/
BIG Industries. And as expected they are ending what Next Island was or could have become, turning it into a dull shallow military sci-fi setting, removing item restrictions for Ancient Greece, adding Iron Missions for all creatures, etc etc, simply turning it in a obsolete little copy of Calypso, a giant LA, they have no vision, neither are they creators, the only interest is to direct as much PED as possible from players pockets into theirs with the least necessary effort.
sOurce? And HOW? or is this just speculation? I think MA removed the item restriction because of bugs.
Probably more of original concept... with time travel eras.. comedy club etc. Remember ancient bill and Ted show or back to the future or even what endgame or dr who did with time plots
Item restrictions removed and Iron challange [sic] for all creatures: Millitary sci-fi colonization story:
I note they reminded everyone about the restrictions being removed, I have a feeling it happened ages ago though before anyone was doing anything with NI. I had a feeling it was an MA sticking plaster to deal with people getting stuck or something due to bugs that had surfaced as a result of no maintenance of a planet on a moving platform. The story... well it might fit I can't remember. It sounds like just one person's outlook/story. Like the dialog of a single mission. It isn't an over arching backstory or anything just the diary of one NPC
