I would like to show 2 promos i made and i would like your thought of them. The sold good is ME @ 180%. i will wait until MF is reintroduced before i start this. That will also be the time when i calculate the exact prices. PROMO 1 you get a % ME extra according to how much you buy. 1k = 1% extra 2k = 2% extra 3k = 3% extra ... >10k = 10% extra I will save all the names of the people that buy my goods. When you buy a second time, the promo will be halved. 1k = 0.5% extra 2k = 1% extra 3k = 1.5% extra ... >10k = 5% extra And the third time you buy; 1k = 0.25% extra 2k = 0.50% extra 3k = 0.75% extra ... >10k = 2.5%extra When you have bought a certain amount (still need to see which amount) your promo will start again. This promo can also work the other way around, starting with the lowest %, but i think highest is more interesting to lure clients. PROMO 2 For each k of ME you buy you get 1 point. These points can be redeemed for prices. I would like to give away the guns of the BAMF series. But I still need to work out how much points you need for a gun. Maybe i will also include series of mining finders or other guns
If you wish people to be buying more, and not less, I would start out with the lowest % first and end with the highest %. It's the sale aspect, the more you buy, the more discount you get - you reward people the more they buy. I like it - might be good for people who are spending a lot of ME. Unfortunately I don't but if I did I would go for an offer like this :) Better than buying from auction...
Well, that's how I would do it :) Don't know what other people thinks ! First time: 1k = 0.25% extra 2k = 0.50% extra 3k = 0.75% extra ... >10k = 2.5%extra Second time: 1k = 0.5% extra 2k = 1% extra 3k = 1.5% extra ... >10k = 5% extra And the third time you buy; 1k = 1% extra 2k = 2% extra 3k = 3% extra ... >10k = 10% extra This way you reward the good customer ...
Everything cheaper than auction is alway's good. And I go with Lykke on the promo's. On the other hand, this is from own experience: Systems like that usualy dont last long. It is quite time consuming and takes a fair ammount of paperwork to keep track of it. Usualy it starts ok, but than RL gets in the way and it slowly die's out. What I do myself is giving returning clients a discount. Its not that hard to keep track of names and its far less hasle to do. And I keep happy and returning customers after all. Kind regards. Ion
I somehow also agree with Atlan ... Another way to do it - which might make it a little easier - is to reward the costumers who buys more at a time, returning or not: 1k = 1% extra 2k = 2% extra 3k = 3% extra ... >10k = 10% extra On top of that you can give them a 'returning costumer' % but again this requires if you remember who bought or not. fx: 3 trades + 0,5% 6 trades + 1 % etc.
Nice one khaos, we allready had a ingame talk on this! Keep it up and hope MA gets MF back soon. I agree on Lykke's promostyle. Makes more sense.
I will probably write myself a simple program which will keep track of it. with built in calculations, database, etc. ---------- Post added at 14:03 ---------- Previous post was at 13:59 ---------- If i do it that way, 9k+ is always a loss for me. +it seems my post was not that clear (sorry) as I meant that; the more you buy, the more you get. I think i will do it as you first said, starting out with the lowest percentage. ---------- Post added at 15:03 ---------- Previous post was at 14:03 ---------- Thanks for your support ;)
I dont plan to keep you away from the idea, just share my own experiences. And I do hope it works out as you planed. It would be nice to see a system like this working ingame :) I hope one day FPC introduces some sort of customer point system for shops. So systems like this work easyer ingame. Kind regards. Ion
it doesn't discourage me, it only makes me work harder and better ;) But thanks for your support And maybe, just maybe, i will share this program with the players once it's finished
