PayPal was more easy...but PayPal does not like (illegal) gambling. Welcome to Skrill: If you are inactive for 12 months, you got to pay a 3 Euro fee. x'D There are various fees (monthly, for example, for using their email system, each transfer min. 0,50 Euro Cent, international 5,50 Euro, VISA 7,5%, 2% fee here, 1,45% fee there, 2 Euro fee if trading bitcoins, 25 Euro fee for "typos", 150 euro fee for failed cooperation, 150 euro fee for illegal stuff *rofl*...and so on... blah blah blah) Skrill to PED = 9% fee *lol* Only recieving money seems to be free...fees on sending money depends on various Skrill rules... Mixed reviews everywhere. Not as negative as PayPal, but a worthy successor and partner for Mindark I guess. ;D Located in London, founded as MoneyBookers. Todays CEOs Siegfried Heimgärtner Nikolai Riesenkampff Do yourself a favour and Google a bit, before you create an Skrill account.
I used it when it still was Moneybookers. Much more likable than Paypal. The fees are industry standard, unfortunately. You always pay extra and wait extra for getting your money out, while putting it in is instant and free. Go figure. Edit: There was no inactivity fee then. Have to look into it, a bit ugly indeed.
New for me "Skrill" some info : https://ecommerce-news-magazin.de/e...durch-cvc-capital-partners-ist-abgeschlossen/ https://ecommerce-news-magazin.de/e...ird-chief-executive-officer-der-skrill-group/ https://ecommerce-news-magazin.de/e...r-zum-vorsitzenden-des-aufsichtsrats-bekannt/ https://www.cvc.com/media/press-releases/2013/08-19-2013-123303786 Regards, Droops
I never had problems using PayPal either. Since...the beginning. They always pay in advance and take it from my bank account later. No fees involved. And if you click "send money to friends", there are also no fees at all. :p Not saying that paypal is awesome...but they are clean and have no such fees if you know what you are doing. ^^ Usually takes 1-3 working days to recieve the money on your bank account. p.s. Still LOL@ 150 Euro fee for illegal items x'D
If that's all you ever do with Paypal, sending money to friends & family or buy stuff on Ebay and such, you won't have any problems. If you're a business depending on them, and they lock your account for half a year because one of your customers tried a funny card trick, things are quite different. Also if they suddenly decide they don't like your business anymore for political or whatever reasons. Competitors may not be much better in that regard, but as always it's hard to get around a market leader. Skrill nowadays is in fact interesting only really for those who move money in an out of cryptos. You don't need anything other than a normal bank account and a normal credit/debit card for Entropia.
9% fee was maybe industry standard 10+ years ago. in recent times, merchants rather pay 0.x%, and customers shouldn't pay more than 3.5% at MAX, otherwise it's a blatant ripoff.
It depends on the path you want the money to take. 10+ years ago this was rather easier than now and such high fees unusual. I happened to have been into all these things way back, when all these e-currencies like e-gold etc. were a thing. What we are seeing in recent years are ever more restrictions, e.g. the phasing out of cash deposits via Ukash and Paysafecard, first by them introducing ridiculous fees and then getting driven out entirely. Think of anything which enables any degree of anonymity, is outside of state supervision, and because of this is inevitably involved with fraud and blackmail. Or, much worse to some, with gambling and various "politically incorrect" activities. This makes it difficult for cryptos to get into the picture, too, and any service interfacing with them will take advantage of your choices being limited for as much as they can.
Wow, on April 23, 2020, it was "active" for 24 hours and got shutdown for unknown reasons *lol* on April 25...1 month later, still no news. I mean, why would someone official comment on it after 1 month of silence anyway ? In the swedish tradition of excellent, embarassing fails !
