The number of registered accounts doesn't determine the economy of EU. What is needed is for MA to say what the number of active users is.

 

Yep I agree they never will, I was just raising the point, because until they do there won't be any major new investments in this game.

 

Well, what sounds reasonable to one is defied by evidence. There are new investments (if you want to call it that at all, but that's a different discussion) continuously. This is one of the reasons why I keep saying, here you get to compete with people who don't need their money and have no chance to come out ahead, unless you can afford doing the same thing and throw at it "whatever it takes".

 

New investments continuously, without knowing what the size of the active player-base is? I find this difficult to believe tbh, considering the outlay required for say just a shop stall or standard shop, never mind something major like a hangar or an exclusive des-res in some remote location, or a large spacecraft.

 

The size of the player base is somewhat irrelevant to new investments because one person could one day buy a mothership, next day buy another and another and so on. That one person could keep making new investments as many times as he likes and not just on motherships but anything in game.
