Today the 7th Hydra spawned, but it had a trick up it's sleeve. It spawned at 17664, 30622, 140, which is, as you can see on this map, a PVP area. This kinda surprised the large amount of uber gathered there to kill it (as they did with the first 6). Then out of the blue came a large amount of SEG 10's and killed everybody. The PVP caused them to shoot each other a lot more then they did the Hydra and the SEG 10's and because of that send a lot of ubers to the revival terminal. This led Warants to decide to get the Hydra to the water and drown the poor thing ;). Looks like we will never know what big loot that 7th Hydra had for us, I do know that the things another society did with the 2nd Hydra is now also done with the 7th by one of the uber societies, wonder how the reactions will be to this one.
LOL Interesting to see such a tactic employed. It was unfortunate that many colonists at the site decided to shoot other colonists instead of robots.
Well I think it was thus just plain stupidity by FPC to have caused the Hydra to spawn in a PVP zone. And i think it was a bit in protest that they drowned the thing where the loot goes right back in the faces of fpc. Ofc I am not at all suprized at what happened. Mabe FPC can wize up and NOT spawn the next one in a PVP zone. Fail ePic Company
From FPCs point of view all is fine :) PvP Armor decay PvP Ammo PvP Weapon Decay MF Decay etc. And best of all: They have not to give away some loot. From their point of view is no need to change anything at Hydra #8. Hope ppl are clever enough not to make the same mess on it as yesterday.
I don't see a problem with the Hydra spawning in a PVP zone. First people complain that the Hydra is to easy to kill, and now, when they make it a bit harder, it is to hard to kill. If those ubers can't hold back the feeling of needing to kill people whenever they are in PVP that's not FPC's fault if you ask me. I think this gives a nice idea about the community for FPC. they have a nice couple of Hydra's. First one was easy to kill, second was WAY to hard to kill and got turreted, then a few that got a bit harder with every one and the last one in PVP. Seems like FPC is testing the community for future events.
