But links to specific pages will still end up in a 404 error. And yes, I do assume that is why EF.com itself was not part of the deal. But essentially, all search results from the new forum will not get the old indexing they had in Google. Anyone with a bit of SEO knowledge saw that one coming. After we figure out the new way threads are set up on the new forum, I can see if I can figure out a smart way of updating our wiki database, and alter the links. Let's hope that as part of the deal, FPC also bought vbSEO, and is not instead going for the built-in vB SE friendly URLs.
Tried it and got the !!!!!!!!! So, same settings carried over to the FPC forum. I wonder if that will stay. If it does then we could deduce that FPC are protective of Warants and all that that entails heehee
The new forum is nice, but is a bit of a change. It does feel a lot more comfortable to use this forum here at EPF.
The new forum blows goats. I reckon I'll be operating out of EP from now on. Blackjack P.S. Lykke could you please find a way to swipe the cowboy emoticon from what used to be EF?
