Glad to have helped with the blueprint thing! I can't advise you on the newcomer quests, but I'm sure someone else will chime in with an answer for you. Cheers, and good luck! AG
OK I might be wrong here, but isn't there someone there that gives you another weapon or repair that one, like the guy in the bar giving more ammo? I'm pretty sure I have seen something about this
the guy in the bar does give an ammo, i have my ammo, lots of them but there isnt anyone else that can give me weapon unless it's a player, i was given a weapon 2x, but when i finished the tutorial, i missed 1 additional quest that needs to kill a creature, and the weapon we all got in Gateway is (L) / Limited, so its unrepairable
unless nobody here has any other idea I guess the only option is to come to Calypso and leave the newbie island, unless you wanna explore it some more of course. Some nice newbie missions now at Port Atlantis to, and if you need a ride to the island let me know I can bring you there in my boat :)
If you really want to finish it you can try trading some other new player for their weapon, for loot you got with your first one. The main reward for doing those missions is the learning experience though, I wouldn't worry about it too much, I think your plenty ready for the "real" world where your new learning and skill gains will make anything you did on the Gateway negligible. have fun :) narfi
There's only the two guns you get from the hunting advisor (or however the guy is called). if you dont get the fragments while out hunting for him, you miss a couple skills (biology, computer...) you'd get from that quest. unless another beginner gives/trades you his gun after he's finished, there's nothing you can do about it I think. cant remember there being a trade terminal...
Yeahh!! finally after i traded my 20 sweats of bottle, someone decided to give me his weapon, oh wow, what a relief whahahah, after almost an hour asking people to help me lend their weapon, finally now i am ready to enter Calypso! RAZER, i would love to ride on your boat for a tour around Calypso! when when when?? haha oh and about Gateway Mission, Eugene Renault, a NPC in Level 2, the only words he says is "Aahhhhh bugs!!" can we do something about that? is there a story that will tell us why he is scared of the bugs? looks like he have no use at all? haha
Hey Foju, was nice meeting you in game, I hope you liked our little Hummer ride to Swamp Camps and Billy's. Anyway if you have any questions just PM me ingame of post something here.
well, after playing around for about 6 hours today my 1st impression about Entropia on my 1st day is: Absolutely amazing.. now i wish that i would have played this game years earlier i love it already when i 1st arrived at the Newgate, and i even spent almost 3 hours alone there, trying to get used to sweat, although the chat in Newgate isn't that alive, but it was overall a good tutorial place, it was short and direct what really blow me away is when i 1st reach Port Atlantis, i knew it would be alive, and lot's of people, but what i miss to visualize is the Flying Hovercraft!! yesss!! whatever that is, i want one someday! well i managed to get a group and tasted the Sweating and Hunting, i still dont have any weapon as far as i am concerned, i will not be needing it now as i will be heavily involved with Sweating for the 1st few weeks to get myself a funds to get Unlimited Armor and Weapons and then i also met with Razer, showed me around, and got me a new TP ( thanks Raz, and your friend, 47 was it? ) it was a good brief tour that made me want to have those vehicles to get around! yep, Calypso is a huge world, i think investing on a Vehicle might not be such a bad idea anyway, 1st day was a joy, i couldn't wait for the 2nd, i am already liking this world!
Welcome officially to our (not so little) planet then :D Keep on sweating to gain skills, make some tp runs to have fun and explore before investing in armor. Keep in mind that tp runs with a car are faster, but you don't get the same feel for the area's as you do on foot. Takes longer, but you get to see most of the mobs, get to grips with their aggro range and it a more memorable experience. Cya in game!
Hi so i am currently taking up the Arrival at Port Atlantis's quest now there is some mission that told me to mine Crude Oil and also Belkar Stone and Checking out Electric Fence from Quinn, and also Killing the Punies Family ( without any gun ) now, is this the part where we need to invest PEDs? because obviously i need a Ore Refinery and the Locator to mine for those stones and a gun to kill the Small Fish Creature surrounding the Electric Fence also to kill off the Punies? i cant think of any other way to get to those quest without PEDS so i can buy something from the TT?
Nope this is the part where you gather some sweat and sell it. Get 1000 sweat and you can buy your beginners gun and some ammo and you can go and kill some of those Puny creatures. After that get a 1000 sweat more and you will be able to get the needed mining gear. So go to Swamp Camp (47 and I drove you there yesterday) and start gathering sweat to sell Oh and the Electric Fence mission you can do without a gun, those small fish creatures around there are not as small as you think and will have you for dinner for sure :). Just stay away from them, you should still be able to get to the fence thingies. Good luck
yeah looks like i will be only getting 1k Sweats, then after that i think i may start depo a little, haha i cant be sweating forever, i will be sweating for fun alot with soc mates, but 4 days of playing, i think i am ready to get a bit advanced with depo =)
Don't forget to visit Nea's even if you decide to abandon sweating so soon. usually you can find big organized sweating groups north of the tp, where you can sweat without needing to run behind mobs all the time, and also chat and learn a lot about the game. Don't forget that sweating gives you a ton of skills, with evade being one of the most important ones, but certainly not the only one. What i usually did, even after i had started depositing, was going to sweat with a skill target in mind. Like get 10 points of evade or concentration for example. Having targets helps to break the monotony ;)
