    SCARY, FRIGHTENING, FUNNY
    HALLOWEEN

    Still some days to go before the actual day,
    but we are celebrating a little in advance :)

    As you might have noticed,
    we put a little halloweenish theme on the forums around!

    Also the conquest game has been invaded by some hmmm ... scary creatures ...

    And then I thought - we should make our fun 'show us your halloween avatar picture' contest again this year :yay:

    so here it is ...


    SHOW US YOUR HALLOWEEN AVATAR CONTEST

    You have untill Sunday the 7th of November 2010 to show us your funniest, scariest, cutest halloween avatar.

    Prefered will be avatar pictures related to the game one way or another
    or a real life halloween picture taken by yourself (pictures of your mom or aunts doesn't count).


    First prize will be a Scary Pumpkin Facemask
    Second prize will be a Cosy Jack O'Lantern
    and the third prize will be a Fluffy Spider Doll


    We do not want any offensive contributions,
    and if they show blood it better be your own, thank you :D

    You will have to upload the picture as your actual avatar picture to be able to enter
    (the one which is shown in your posts)
    but ALSO
    you need to upload it as a picture in this thread ;)

    Peter and myself will not be entering the contest (or if we are, it will only be as stupid inspirations - we can't win ...)
    but everyone else is allowed to contribute, because the staff doesn't know this .. ha ha ha ...
    we ARE allowed to have a little fun here ... oh Lootius, was THAT difficult to hide from the others!
    TIHI ... yeah ...right ... nuf said ..

    October 31st if I am not mistaking. I might be wrong, but the Dutch tradition of Sint Maarten forms the basis of the Halloween tradition, much like Santa Claus is a continuation of Sinterklaas.

    The Dutch once "owned" New York (called New Amsterdam initially), and the Dutch influence on the American culture is actually very present in the term "yankees" (a bastardization of the Dutch names Jan and Kees, which apparently were much in use due to a large number of Dutch people moving to the US centuries ago).

    In any case... Something weird happened, and suddenly our Arcade is overrun with Halloween cartoons :eek:

    Yes, to confirm ... here in the US, Halloween is indeed October 31st.

    yes Charlie is doing fine, still prefers singing over barking :)
    just a few days ago a neighbour from across the street told me he one day heard some singing and was wonderin what it was, and found it very cute how my dog greets ppl ;)

    two weeks ago we been on a german island "borkum" together enjoying the beach, didnt take him to mexico though, not worth the stress of the flight and the risk of getting lots of parasites and illness.

    You can still join the contest with a scary or funny picture :)

    I will have to postpone the date because we unexpected has been called for in Holland, and I won't be back untill very late Sunday evening.

    New date will be the 10th of November :yay:

    Did you upload them in the gallery first ?? :headscratch:

    Otherwise, try upload them to tinypic.com and put in the img codes OR post the links, and I see what I can do to fix it :)
