    I have to admit the closer we get 'new planets', the more I'm also getting excited about it.

    I didn't decide yet which planets I will call my new 'homes' - time will tell, when the planets are being released and we see them, feel them, try them out!

    One thing I know for sure is, that I will move from Calypso and explore the Universe as it grows.

    There will be some criterias, which will make me decide my new home planet(s): For example,
    • it is important to me, that the new planets contain content which will make me curious and give me a natural wish to explore.
    • I want new and more exciting mobs to kill, if the planet contains mobs and hunting abilities - and the same with new Items, crafting possibilities and perhaps even something completely different and not yet implemented in game.
    • I need a feeling of belonging - to be a part of the game and it's history.
    • I need the planet providers / partners to listen to me and to be honestly interested in my involvements.
    Which planets are you looking most forward to?

    Will you be 'moving'?

    What COULD move you?

    What are your personal criterias to join a new planet?


    I am aware, that we don't know what the new planets have to offer - but you might still have an idea of how it will be like and what it will contain. And your answer should reflect those expectations :)

    Since i was able i selected every one :P

    My soc is Calypso based so it will always be my "home"

    BUT

    I will spread myself around all the planets as much as my peds and or trading allow me.
    One of the most fun aspects of this game is exploration, and ive had 2.5 years of fun with that on calypso, and now rocktropia, I cant imagine how much fun it will be opening this 3rd dimension of exploration will be :)

    I have already left Calypso ... packed up everything and headed to ROCKtropia ... I have to go there anyway for the magazine, but ... it will be temporary until Next Island comes online. I don't care what they have on the planet ... I'm going to find myself a sweet hut on the beach and nest, but I will for sure be exploring and collecting crystals for time travel.

    Then when Cyrene comes online, I will be exploring that planet too and creating a second home. These are the two planets I'm most interested in, and the two I am sure I will be spending the majority of my time on - as well as my pedaroonies! :bigsmile:

    My criteria is non-specific ... and definitely does not related to any one profession ... I haven't played this game from that perspective in a long time, but I'll see how things go. I will definitely set up a media camp on both planets and report my findings to the universe at EP. I will be storytelling for sure. :)

    :) that's why I kept it open, because I know that some people will never really leave Calypso.

    I forgot to add though, that I REALLY REALLY hope, that the new planets will contain a better auction system - and perhaps NOT share all possibilities of trading with Calypso.

    Today that's one of my major problems when I travel to ROCKtropia (to take an example). I cannot make a decent living on the planet as a crafter, because the material I use, usually are bought from auction, and the transformation fee is horrible (it's a pure scam, if you ask me).

    I really hope the new planet partners have thought of this, because I am sure that's a reason too for people to stay on Calypso. The game is expensive enough as it is.

    Even shopping boths / possibility to sell things without having to spent time shouting on corners, would help a lot (I also hope that will be implemented on RT at a point).

    Wow, the subtext that I'm reading here is a possible mass emigration from calypso? I know there is only a couple of responses so far, it'll be interesting to see what some others have to say.

    I'm of the "moved to rt" type at the moment. Next, NI for sure. Reasons - I most like exploring / new different things. 2 years + at calypso has pretty much done it for me there. Seems to be nothing new worth doing for me.

    I dont realy know yet. Next island with those hunts looks realy nice but what i'm looking for is the 'virtual reality' aspect with social interaction. I gave up hunting and killing things in rl a long time ago and a arcade 'shoot everything in sight' game imo gets boring after a short while. Also I'm hoping to find a world where i can ply my 'profesion' which is in the avatar beauty, art as in paintings and decorating field. My interest in in a 'virtual life' not a arcade game, if I wanted that i'de go play WOW or one of the half dozen others I use to play. so i'll wait and see and hope for the best.

    Well Calypso is my home and I had (as still have at times) a great time on her (that sounds weird).
    I am however VERY interested in Cyrene and if it feels right from the beginning (unlike Rocktropia) I might spend a lot of time there in the future (future, now that's Next Island, this is confusing :D).

    One problem is that a lot of the people I really like will still be on Calypso or on the other planets, and that's a big draw back for me.
    All the people you got to know and love will be spread out all over the universe.

    Just thought of something that would be cool for the "frequent flyers" that want to see everthing. A "bus pass," a set amount per month you can pay for unlimited interplanetary tp usage.

    I'm mostly looking forward to Cyrene, though I definitely will also check out Next Island. At any rate, any planet that is less about gambling and more about gaming will be a good alternative.

    I voted Beladcom. I love the middle-eastern culture and way of life. Hopefully it will be reflected appropriately in the planet!

    depends on which one comes first. If cyrene is first i probably won't look at other planets for a long time. If any of the others are first.... who knows

    In theory there are aspects from eahc one that I like and would most definately visit all of them at some stage.

    My favourite one at the moment is cyrene. Beladcom is a surprising one and i'm intrigued what content will be in there.

    With all of them the one that will get my voting feet i.e. the one that i play on will depend on how good they are with not just the content but support i.e. things like kill-stealing, dealing with scammers. FPc is a good planet and i like it but there are some things that put me right off like their policies on kill stealing, no attempt is made to bring about any justice. The other deficiencies with fpc i can live with but to me the fact that they seem to endorse the "crooked" is just not on.

    With the other planets many would probably have similar policies to FPC as it's less work for them and dictated by what the platform is capable of doing. However, one or two may do much better in these areas and it is those planets that I would call home.

    I picked Cyrene and CRD.

    Cyrene: Because its simply just quality stuff in all respects story, art, mobs, etc
    CRD: Although this one is unlikely to come out I thought it would be a great addition to the universe.

    My home is and will always be Calypso, but I'm looking forward to Next Island (unless it has NEVERDIE chyrpi's).

    Cant say I read much about Cyrene so cant really speak about it but probably want to check that out too, and would love to see SEE but doubt that will happen
