MA: Entropia Universe with Windows 7

Cool. I don't use Window's 7 yet, but it's good to know that EU will be officially supported at some point soon.

 

MA fail ... badly :) I've been using EU on win7 for almost an year now... and there are no problems , not even when win7 was in alpha version

 

I've been using Windows 7 with it.

There's some problems with it - login takes a LOT longer time on Windows7 than on WinXP

Running the .exe in WinXP mode will only show 2Gb of 4Gb in machine or 1/2 no matter what U have (for me anyway).

But I agree MA fails.. It should be runable on both XP, Win2k3, WinVista, Win7, MacOS, Linux....

 

I'd rather have MA fix the bugs than wasting time to make EU run on operating systems only a tiny fraction of the potential users have.

The only thing that brought the use of computers forward was to establish a standard OS - you better get used to it.

There is a lot of things one may criticize about MA, but that EU doesn't run on Linux/MacOS is not on the list.... seriously.

And it DOES run on XP, Vista, Win7...

We are in the process of testing Entropia Universe for use with the newly released Windows 7 operating system. This version is not officially supported at this time but we are working to ensure full compatibility in the near future. We will make an official announcement as soon as testing is complete.

I've been using Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit for quite a while now, and it runs EU very well indeed :)

 

You must have a conflict somewhere then.

I run win7 Ultimate Signature Edition and I could login within a few seconds
