Well not sure if I have ever played before or not. I have tried so many games. By the sounds of it I haven't. Looking at the guides trying to figure out where to get started once this huge download finally stops. I was reading about mentors and help societies do such things still exist?

Where does one got to find societies and a newbie guide. I plan on adding $$ just not right off the bat . I want to make sure i'm gonna like playing and be to play like I want off my cell company broadband lol
Hey there :) welcome to EP It is true, we're waiting for the mentoring system, but some of us doesn't just wait, we made our own 'help a newcomer' system. Have a look in this section: Guides and help The Adopt a Newbie Foundation is a programe set up to help newcomers in game, either by adopting them to an excisting society or by offering them a spot in a newcomer society, where they can learn things before they eventually find their own society. We have a lot of help to find in our wiki too (see the top bar menu) - it's integrated into this forum, which means you do not have to log in. If you're still on Calypso, you can find a whole section about the gateway under Planet Calypso - as you can also find guides to all the missions. Just ask if you get any questions :) Have fun Lykke
Yea there is plenty of free stuff to do. I've been playing for 7 years now and i always recomend people to try not to deposit for a couple months. Wait until you really understand how things work, how people talk, and market values and such before spending your own money. That way you'll enjoy it best. i have a simple little site that has links to all the most important sites to find information. Hi :) Some good advice in the previous posts already. Ask when you have questions. Some will be unhelpful (passed several avatars yesterday that didn't even spoke when i said 'hi') some will be very helpful. Take it slow (i didn't depo for 3 months, and once i deposited i lost it all too fast to my liking, so wait before you deposit, try finding fun things that don't cost money ingame, i had most fun when i had nothing to loose in this game (apart from the time invested)). A warning, it's a very addictive game (to me), if your real life doesn't allow this, think again before getting addicted :P Good luck (on Earth or Calypso).
