I'm was kind of getting sucked in to killing some of these Sacred Boars. The other day I did kill one, it wasn't all that hard. I don't know other's experience, but for me I happened to be wearing ghost/5b and it was hitting me for 1, I think it crit me once for 13. Yea, I know, way overprotected. Whatever. I considered this a bit odd, and maybe its just a mistake or whatever but worth taking advantage of. HOWEVER... It took about 60 peds of ammo to kill it, my loot was about 30 peds animal oil. Again, I dunno, YMMV Anyhow, I didn't try another one that day. Now, in the past couple of days we have all been noticing that they are consuming or 80-90% of the top 10 on Hunting HOF board. (They trying to suck me in I think.) I almost logged in just now and grabbed whatever ammo I could and tried again, but thought I should check the stats on globals and boy am I glad I did. I'm not a big hunter or anything but from time to time, you know, you get stuck on thinking you can get a piece of the action. First, thank you Entropia Tracker. I'm sure that everyone is already down with the plan, but really if you aren't - Entropia Tracker should be your first stopping point before you even think you want to try for something big. ET has this nice function now for quite a while where you can download a bunch of the data. It only gives mob, global value and day. But what you can do with that. When I grabbed the Sacred Boar globals, there were 630 of them since they started getting recorded on 12-11 at about 9:30pm. Now for some statistics The average global size is 192.44 PED 84% of the globals are <100 PED 12% of the globals are >100 and <1000 PED a whopping 4% of the globals are ubers (>1k PED) 4 percent. I have about the same odds of getting hit by a bus. Needless to say, I won't be risking my meager pedstack on a dream tonite.
Lets hope you not are out in the trafic a lot !. 4% sounds really dangerous. But loot distribution pretty much describes loot for all mobs. Only difference is that you cycle peds in a greater scale on this mobs.
60 PED to kill a single mob? That's mean my average hunting trip would allow me to kill exactly 5 of those.
yeah those are pretty evil... got some globals but never much above 50% return really... so I can't be bothered to hunt them again unless they loot some good MU shit.
welp this is a new planet with new style of hunting. all these mobs have one theme, and that theme is team hunting. next island is all about getting people together to do things, wether its hunting, or solving the mystery of the greece time portal. so yeah your prolly gona loose your butt hunting something that a team of m1a or opalos can profit on, or get 80% or better results on. change of planet equals change of hunting, mining, and crafting habits. people should learn to get used to status quo changing at a moments notice and be able to adapt when moving from planet to planet, or one might find him/her self loosing more peds then they have too.
After 2 days on ni I can say that apart from a few big space skeletons I can take on any mob in martial. Most seem to have low damage and lots of life(case for sacred boar, space skeletons, drakes...)
