The game is bad enough, standing in front of a revival stand, surounded by mobs so I can't even run, dying over and over because there is no gun turret. Then this forum where you actually have a counter to control my behavior. I don't like being treated like a child. I am a customer. At least I used to be. Bye all, Candy
Sorry to hear you're having such a bad time Candy, it can never be fun when you are prevented from playing the game as it should be. I can understand being cornered by mobs so that you can't go anywhere, but I'm not understanding what you mean by ... Hey candy, welcome to EP ... or? I'm confused tbh :) we don't have a counter and don't try to controle anyones behavior (unless it's a rude one, then we can live without). I understand your frustrations about NI. I'm living up there myself atm - and there's a lot of mobs around the tp's. I don't get why they didnt put up more protection for the newcomers. Kind of insane if you ask me lol. I hope you will be able to give it a second chance though :)
EDIT: Sorry, missed that this was in the NI forum. If you post some coordinates someone there may be able to render assistance. I believe there are some Manticore members there, or other friends or aquaintances of mine that would be willing to help. If I may, to which game are you referring, Planet Calypso, Next Island or Rocktropia? Calypso is my stomping grounds. If you're stranded at an outpost there, please post your coordinates, and I or another helpful soul will come to your rescue. Sorry your first taste hasn't been as delicious as it could have been. This is a Next Island forum so yes I am on Next Island. I got out with a lot of work, logged off to let the mobs wander away, then managed to get into the terminals hut when I came back online, repaired my hit points then used my tp chip to leave. Many mobs surrounding the place trying to attack me. The TP there was unusalble. Funny thing is, inbetween the tps there are few mobs but they have swarms around several. And almost no gun turrets on Next Island. As for the forum, there was a counter on the TOS page not letting me click the "I agree" button until it had counted down. As if that would make me read the thing if I didn't want to, lol. I have calmed down now, Candy
Sorry to hear about your experience, Candince. One thing we should perhaps clarify is that we are an independent forum, and not affiliated with any of the planet partners out there. The forum is run by a couple of players (Lykke and myself), and is not affiliated with any of the planet partners. The counter you mention is probably standard functionality that you'll see in some form or another with most software licenses. Lots of them now make it mandatory to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the terms so they have some form of reassurance their terms might actually have been read. The counter here is imilar. If we make people wait for a few seconds, rather than just letting them click straight through, they at least will have some chance of reading the terms. That's pretty much the only real restriction you will encounter on this forum (possible exceptions being limits on the amount of posts, searches, messages etc that can be sent after one another, in order to protect us from denial of service attacks or spammers).
and now that u know its a independand forum made by some verry dedicated fans, Welcome and feel free to let go and rant in the apropiate sub section here :)
