Planet Arkadia News: planetarkadia: Planet Arkadia - New screenshots available fo Can I be a bit negative and voice my reaction? Good ok then... it was something like: "Oh..." So yeh... uh... a tad underwhelmed by those screen shots really. Why? Well I guess I was expecting something a little (not a lot but "slightly" would have done) like your classic Tomb Raider style ruins... So what's wrong? Well I guess its something about the way we appear to have a featureless uniform piece of ground with ruin's plopped on it like they fell out of the sky... actually no, out of the sky would show evidence of an impact, these just seem to have materialised.... there is no variation, nothing growing, no variation in ground height and texture, no creepers, no moss... nothing that says "OLD" to me.... actually it does sooooort of remind me of old startrek sets... For the first time with Arkadia.... I'm disappointed Bummer :( Wistrel

Planet Arkadia News: planetarkadia: Planet Arkadia - New screenshots available fo TBH ... these are the screenshots to be winning over our hearts ? Sorry but I expected a bit more ..... or is this a good teaser ... hmmmm
Planet Arkadia News: planetarkadia: Planet Arkadia - New screenshots available fo These screenshot is only a needle in a haystack of what the planet has to offer. I like fact that these ruines are there. It tells history of "way back when". ;)
Planet Arkadia News: planetarkadia: Planet Arkadia - New screenshots available fo I was a bit underwhelmed too, but I'll hold judgement until I see what else there is. I suspect we won't be shown any of the really cool stuff before opening day.
Planet Arkadia News: planetarkadia: Planet Arkadia - New screenshots available fo Tbh I think people are being too harsh. Why give it all away up front? Let us work a bit to find the true gems ;) Just relax everyone :)
Planet Arkadia News: planetarkadia: Planet Arkadia - New screenshots available fo I agree. But this seems to happen all the time. Most have been so incredibly positive towards the new planets coming up - why should 2 pictures 'ruin' it? Talking about 'ruin' - I think it's great to see, that what they spoke of will be practiced on the planet. And still can't wait discovering it all ^-^
Planet Arkadia News: planetarkadia: Planet Arkadia - New screenshots available fo While I have to agree that I would have expected something like out of Tomb Raiders in style or architecture, I also agree that we should wait to see what the true experience is. As we know, pictures can give us only so much, and ... a little voice in the back of my head keeps reminding me that part of the excitement of this new planet will be our actual participation in rebuilding the ruins. I can't wait to see how it's going to work. To be a part of the ongoing development and storyline as players really has my attention, and I have to think that what we have seen with regard to one of the ruins may very well be something left a long time ago during a period of time where this might have been the style of architecture. Remember, that what we're seeing now is current day Arkadia and was built by Commodore Toan's crew, and perhaps why we might have thought that the ruins should have looked differently. At any rate, I'm looking forward to not only personally exploring what this planet has to offer, but also being a part of it's continued evolution. I really like the idea that we'll be able to give input, and who knows ... maybe our input will result in some spectacular things. With everything we've experienced so far with Dave and his A-Team, I think we have possibilities here. :)
