What do you Play?

Discussion in 'Other games and gaming' started by Mikah, Oct 2, 2009.

  1. This is things that will come to Aion in the future, and it looks really good. Lovley game as it is now, but with housing, underwater worlds, mounts ect ect it will be awsome.

FPC, MA and the rest: Watch and learn, not just from Aion, but from almost any P2P mmo, you guys are lightyears behind in matters of making an mmo with lots of gameplay, interactive environments and a living, breathing world.

I still wonder where all thoose new players will come from, who will choose a boring world with no gameplay and just grinding(EU) when there already are amazing mmorpgs out there and with several new ones to come?

Well I finished playing Dragon Age Origins as a Dwarven Rogue
And am half way through it again as Human Warrior :D

Sweet starting storylines and suspense for each race's starting area too.

I must say BioWare has put a lot of work into DAO to compete with the standards set by CD Project's Witcher 1.
Well done on their part, a fantastic game, fantastic graphics and quest lines throughout.

DOA is definitely a 9.8 out of 10.0 to match Witcher 1 as one of the best recently released RPGs ;)

Now that that is over and done with, I have acquired:

    RISEN

This game is half the install size of Dragon Age Origins.
~ 4.5gb install DVD for Risen vs 9gb install DVD for DOA.

Amazing the graphics look on par with DAO even though the smaller size.

Apparantly it has more content from what I have read about it in the reviews than DOA and a much more advanced combat system which also uses the Nvidia PysX extentions for avatar control realism :)

I will let you know what I think of RISEN once I get my head around mastering the advanced combat system.

See you in a fortnight :beerchug:

All good things must come to an end sadly.

Evn though the player interface takes a little getting used to initially, Risen has been a breath-taking emmersive story-quest-line based experience.

I am currently upto chapter 4 as Captain working for the Don. (Bandits)
Level 10 sword fighter and most other skills maxed, other than magic seals :D

I have the first of the Titan armour pieces to reforge (Damn they are hard to get, elite lizardmen warriors & high priest to contend with) and have the Titan sword, well on my way to earning the title of Titan Lord to battle the Titans destroying the world for humanity

I would definitely give this game a 9.5 out of 10.

The next which I am looking to get my hands on to try out is:

Rise of the Argonauts by Codemasters.

Something a little different in the RPG genre line :)

Picked up my legit copy of Windows 7 today and saw Aion on the next shelf (Lies! I went looking for it )

    So bought that too :D

    Installing atm 12gb install :openmouth:
It must have some amazing content to be that large.

    Waits patiently :naughty:

  5. Last few days I been playing Dirt 2 on PC. I got it for free when I bought my Ati 5850.

Its a pretty fun game, especially multiplayer since I am pretty decent despite using a keyboard and not a wheel.

    67 Ranked races, 15wins,46 podiums:nunchucks:

  6. Anyone playing Star Trek open beta? So far is pretty decent, lots of bugs but that's expected, all in all it has some potential. What I love is having a ship and an avatar. Customization of both are pretty good, content is interesting and im loving the way bridge officers work. My name there is Mikah if anyone wants to meet up sometime.

Lavawalker I see you bought Aion, how do you like it? I'm in Zikel server, almost lvl 30 assassin, been playing since closed beta.

    Oh Happy New Year! :beerchug:

  7. Playing EU here and there......trying to cut back in a way. With my new PC purchase last year I have found some renewed interest in Clive Barker's Jericho and I still continue to be the meanest wanderer in Fallout 3 especially now that the graphics looks great.

Been thinking about playing Bioshock again and not be so nice this time around but school, art, life, and what not eat up a lot of time.

  8. When I need a break from EU, I find my self in Facebook Vampire Wars, Farmville and a few other games there.

But Games with action - well i have to say I'm in Rappelz at least 1 to 2 hours a week. :yay::) :) :yay:

  9. Ya tried SL, AOW and Eve...none lasted long on my PC....lol

Still love EU when the loot and economy doesn't suck so hard...

When I can't take EU anymore and need a break, i'm either messing around in facebook games, playing Tiger Woods Golf on Wii, or playing Grand Theft auto 4. ;)

  10. Have you perhaps also considdered Mass effect 2 ? I believe it is out.:bandit:

  11. Yes, I've been trying it as a Trill female by the name of Asri.
Just played a tiny bit and really not enough to get a good grip on anything. Manuevering in space is ...intruiging, and lag/bug after switching space <-> ground is almost fun :D

Will try to spend some more time there before open beta ends...

    Im currently playing:

I agree with Sob about Killing Floor, however I cannot join him on alot of the games he plays for a simple reason. He introduces me to a game and then I dont see him for about 2 weeks. Even though I might be sitting right next to him, I am somewhere else.

He did this to me with Oblivion when I was ment to be doing course work. He did this to me with Fallout 3, Portal, Killing Floor and Aion. And he did do this to me because he knows how I am!!!:alcohol:

Far Cry 2 Multiplayer is alot of fun, singleplayer, meh not so good.

Looking forward to Earthrise, Secret World and Swtor.

  17. How did yall get into the star trek beta. They didn't accept me a few months back.

  18. It`s in open Beta now, they have gived away several 1000 keys and if you didnt get any of thoose you could always look up some store online and do an preorder on the game, the preorders usually comes with a Betakey. But look it up before you buy it.
