nope not seen that before, so thanks. This one is good because it actually specifies what smart phone apps they are currently working on.
Would be nice to be able to check auctions on your phone where ever you are instead of having to sign in.
Interesting indeed! I've kinda felt an alternative to game interface might be a good thing for a while. I felt maybe it could be done over web. The idea of an app specifically... does it help? I'm not sure... While we can do a lot with apps now we can also do a lot more with the web than we used to be able to. There begs the question of security though. Can android apps be decompiled? or would it not matter that much, if all is done server side? Oh a gameplay question though, would an "alternative to game" interface empty out the world? would everyone become the equivalent of auction/craft terminal zombies that we see crowding the shop containers? Or would the potential for more trading/crafting help massively with supply and demand. It might, more traders/crafting make it easier for hunters/miners to sell their loot. This would be particularly useful on other less popular planets like Nesoi Makaron ;) Just some thoughts Wistrel
On avatars - aha! I figured MA had to be working on them. I suspect the pics used on the entropia abassador site are from new avatars. I read also that Cyrene wanted new avas for their planet to launch. This will pave the way for future developments like the ability to sit down again I expect '_) Wistrel
I fear this would happen as well. People that do nothing but trading in EU, which is a fair number, would stop going into the game and just use the smartphone app and this could have a negative knock-on effect. The one big positive that might come out of it though, is that there would be more mobs to go round for everyone else and so loots might go up.
It all depends on how the app is created, I'd say. There's the way that adds value to the customer, and there's the way that just makes it an excuse to launch another press release.
There is already a basic app for Entropia universe on the Google Play Store called: Entropia Companion. As I say, it's basic, and last time I check it isn't free. But you get these features: 1. Top 25 HOFs 2. Last call auction listings 3. Trading MU (limited ores/ enmatters) 4. Events RSS 5. Server status 6. Game time 7. Pc news RSS I've bought it. It's ok and certainly useful particularly for checking auction listings that are ending soon and for those interested in checking the HOF list while on the move. I'm very much looking forward to MindArks officials app, but for now this one is ok. Just a heads up :)
oh yeh I saw that one too... interesting to know what it does... I didn't feel i wanted to buy it I remember.
