Thanks Wolf and Skeezer, and as an update ... things are going well so far for both my sister-in-law, whose home now, and myself. I guess when it rains it pours at times, but despite the severeness of her situation, she's been able to weather the storm. We have battle scars we can tell stories about. Ever the storyteller, eh?

I'm a bit sad though, because my Mother finally went back home on Sunday morning after being here since Jan 10th. She usually doesn't make her Spring visit South until sometime in March, but because of what I was going through she came early, and I'm very grateful she was here, but now I miss her immensely.

She DID make a few more virtual friends while she was here though, so she had fun with that. Moonie will always be her #1 ... those two have been buds for a long time now, even though she thinks Syer has a sexy voice. :tongueout:

At any rate ... I don't have any follow-up visits until next month, so I'm sure it'll be a while before I post again, but then, I think I'm pretty much back in the pink again and well on my way to no more side-effects ... the cumulative aspect of radiation bites, but it IS almost gone, so that's a good thing.

Hope everyone is doing well, and thanks again for the oodles of smilies.

    UPDATE ...

I'm happy to say that things are still going well. My Mother actually moved back to Florida and now living with my brother and his family in their new home. She now has my primary doctor (who literally saved my life the end of last year), and we have Mother/Daughter doctor visits for regular and routine checkups.

It's quite nice, because my brother doesn't work too far from where I live and he drops Mom off at my house early in the morning on his way to work and we make a day of it, which is awesome. It's a nice way to catch up on things and get to see her, but it's also cool to be sharing medical visits together.

In September, we went to our primary doctor for a blood draw, and the results were excellent for both of us ... the docs are always surprised with the lab work, and my hemoglobin level is holding steady at 12.5, so that's a good thing. I have another appointment for a full panel blood draw screening on Halloween ... how spooky is that.

Yesterday (Wed), Mom and I had yet another Mother/Daughter health-day outing. We both had our annual Moosh and Squoosh as I call it (mammogram), along with a bone density test. We'll get the results of those tests in about 5 days, but Mom has a doctor appoint with our primary on Oct 11th, so it'll be another nice day to spend together, and I'll take her for the appointment where we'll both get our results.

I have to say, that it's great to be able to report good news, and I hope that I'll be able to continue doing so. I'm doing what I have to do in order to stay on track with everything. The only situation I have to be mindful of is getting enough sleep. With the media operations expanding and going in a new direction, it does keep me busy, but it's what I love doing the most, so it's not really a source of too much stress at all.

Hope everyone else is doing well ... be sure to appreciate your life, and don't take it for granted.

Been a while since I posted, but I've also been quite busy with the MSM stuff. However, I can report that the results of the mammograms and bone density tests for both Mom and I came back just fine, so we're happy about that. Things are going well for both of us.

I have a follow-up with my surgeon on Nov 29th for a check-up to make sure things are going ok, and Mom has a Dr visit on Dec 11th, which I think I do too for another blood draw for a full panel screen, so it'll be another Mother/Daughter health day together, but it's always fun.

Thanks for your response LeeLoo, it's much appreciated. I have to agree with you though, when you know that friends are having health issues and you haven't heard from them in a while, it makes you wonder if they're alright or not. It's always good to have a way to communicate and keep in touch,

I'll update this thread probably after the Dec 11th visit sometime, but so far, things seem to be coming along quite nicely, and I am still extremely grateful for even being able to write this post.

My best to all of you.

Thank you my rainbow girlfriend with all your colors  ... your friendship and support in EU for years has been nothing less than consistent, and I appreciate that immensely.

What does a girl have to do to get you to drop the shield of testosterone and throw a hug her way, eh? :nana: ... Geez, you guys and your macho "that's not manly" approach ... we see it all the time in sports. :tongueout:

There's nothing wrong with "group hugs" ... and it shows genuine support ... UNLESS ... you were only foolin' and havin' a bit of a tease there - can't tell with you sometimes.

At any rate ... thank you for the thumbs-up ... that means a lot too my dear, and appreciated.

    Friends can hug too!

And that goes for you too, you little booger alien ... you never shy'd away from group hugs, so what's up? :nana: ... you playin' follow the leader up in here all of a sudden :tongue (2): ... let's see some originality ... you know how I love originality ... and even if Ace didn't throw a group hug in there, he was humorous and added a little sumpin' sumpin' different. :wise:

I tease, I tease ... you all are great friends and I appreciate it immensely.
