All perspectives are welcome Ace, whether you contradict everyone or not. However, the only thing that I ask is that everyone keep it constructive and respectful. You and I are both educators Ace, so let's keep this beneficial, and hopefully without causing an incident.

However, we all communicate based on understanding of our personal experiences, whether that be first-hand, third-party, or self-education, and while our personal experiences and perceptions are certainly real and valid for each of us, the process still comes with subjectivity.

  2. Ok, I guess I'll bite since it seems that you are looking for some answers and seem to be asking how it is related to communication with a company with game developers...

Silence is golden sometimes in the area of customer service. Locally, one recent article that I'm reminded of by this thread:
    http://www.komu.com/news/do-not-pos...-in-columbia-boone-county-health-inspections/

It's a gross story, but such a story could make or break a business. I'm glad it got aired, but at the same time and completely grossed out by it as a customer in the area of some of these businesses.

Is Mindark and/or Planet Partners full of cockroaches metaphorically speaking? Well... uh... hmm... didn't think this post would lead in that direction... lol... but perhaps the question is as relevant as some of the questions being posed in this thread?.. and if it is, do you want to know it? Would a communication about such a thing make you want to show some love and deposit more?

Open communication should include both positives and negatives, not be one sided with one or the other I suppose. However, I suspect some ad agencies may think otherwise most days? Why put your loved company in a bad light if you'd rather just keep quiet to keep away bad press (especially if the bad might possibly hurt you financially and/or due some nda disclosure, etc)? Been an age old question in many areas for eons. It's too bad there is no 'health inspection' process with game developers like there is with restaurants.

Since you are one of the few (possibly only if you consider all of the ones that have actually acknowledged it in public) former planet partner or former employee/contracted individual working for a partner or whatever you want to call it with a now-non-planet associated avatar, maybe you could in the future do some articles addressing some issues behind what planet partner avatars can/cannot do that Mindark and the other planet partners seem to disagree on and/or ignore the subject all together? Silence seems to be golden in that area since Mindark's been silent about it for over a year after a big huge thread was started on it in the ask mindark section of entropiaforum in which Kim indicated he'd close the thread and reopen it after he got the answers, and so far the thread is still locked without answers...

  3. You just answered why sometimes Silence can be golden. :) Usually not a good idea to talk when angry, thats not to say that you shouldn't communicate about what made you angry :)

  4. Love = Pain avoid if you can.

    very nice interesting thread
yeah its always the little things.. and how you learn about them ? -> communication
communication is not the only important thing but a big part of it. without respect and trust a relation cant work too, but without communication everything else gets lost over time

Wistrel I agree that respect is a key for a good relation but have to add that its also valid for love relations, imho its very important there too!

my BF and I have a very tiny thing we do every night wish us a wonderful or fantastic or awesome or incredibly good night / sleep / dreams with always new special words, and he always adds colorful for my dreams ;-).

  6. I don't think there is any 1 thing that is important in all relationships. For that matter not all love relationships are equal let alone when you expand that into work, family, and friend relationships

I think of relationships like ice cream there are so many flavors and I want to try them all.

I admit when I was younger I thought trust was the most important flavor. Though this led me down a slippery slope of trusting my other half too much (they kept trying to make me jealous and I didn't even realize it until they would yell at me sheesh). Then I had one of my best relationships (not exactly love but close) and trust was not there at all but communication was the top of the heap. It was interesting as neither of us could trust the other after talking for couple of days about everything but we could come to an understanding that gave both of us a great relationship. To this day we are still good friends who understand what we can can't trust each other with.

This then would lead one to think that communication is the vital ingredient to a great flavor. But that would be incorrect also. Too much communication can be detrimental to any relationship while not enough decreases what relationship may or maynot be there. I could go on and on about the different flavors of relationships but lets sum all this up into 1 word

    Understanding

That is the 1 word of what is most important in any relationship however just as the 1 word "love" can't begin to describe something so then regarding relationships "udnerstanding" falls far away from a description. What is there to understand in some realationships it is understanding the balance of communication. While in others it is understanding the flow of respect from one person to another. Well time to stop pratting before this turns into an thesis.
