As you might have noticed in recent press releases (example) a new company entity called Entropia Universe AB is responsible for the development of Entropia Universe from now on. A contact person in the company has provided us with more information about the true reasons for this change: MindArk are leaving Entropia Universe and move on. After more than 10 years of trying to get Entropia Universe to the top of MMOGs -even porn ads were only sufficient to reach the 2nd position in a public voting- MindArk finally step back to concentrate on more promising projects. From the cash supposed to come in from the sale of the moon estate a part of the team purchased the rights to create a remake of Stromfront/SSI's 1993 classic Stronghold and finally fulfill their fate of becoming the Evil MindArk AB: The upper management retreated completely from the games business to engage in the more enjoyable activities life has to offer. More precisely they started a band with Jan Welter Timkrans on drums, David Simmonds on bass and John Bates on vocals. They also changed their motto from "future is brigther than ever" to "the future is the past".
