  2. I voted "I don't know". I guess I would be curious about the other games... but to be perfectly honest: I was never in it for the money. Saying that up front might put my opinion in correct context. I never once thought I would get rich or even profit. EU to me always has been and always will be simply an entertainment expense.

Regarding the "they don't lie" part... I am still upset about the footguards :disgust: I don't really have any other instances of lying.

  3. I would leave if it had similar amount of different skills and similar levling system. Skilling is the biggest motivation for me to play

  4. Entertainment. Possible money making.

There's already other forms of competition out there.

I'll leave EU when I no longer find any fun in it.

  5. Would I leave for a better game? Of course I would I see no reason not too.

However what you describe does not necessarily make the game better or worse, for example...

if a game made it so you can only partake in actions like hunting and mining, and do no reselling I would call the game worse. I in fact wish Entropia had more things like reselling than it already does. I don't wish this because I resell, I have no intention of doing so, but it's presence indicates a stronger economy than its absence.

i would definatly look at another game that had a more even distribution of loot. just before last nights longtooth ATH, i mangange to get one myself... no looter. it doesnt matter much in the grand scheme of things, but you cant avoid thinking "why bother" when thats how the system is skewed.

with VU 10 i've already lost alot of enmotionally attachment, i feel like im in a new game alot of the time anyway, so moving to another would be easy now.

Well it really would depend... I mean, I have friends in Entropia, I have skills and gear in Entropia... I really like hanging out in Calypso, so I see no reason why I should go somewhere else :afro: unless it was some *totally awesome and even better* place :poke:

  10. That right there is the booboo! We are playing a new game. The rules have changed.

And of course, you can sustain only a limited amount of losses before you say to yourself: “what the hell am I doing here?” the point is that when you constantly loose, you log out angry and log in with dread. That’s not entertainment. Every dog needs a bone from time to time…

And it doesn’t help if you see someone with not even half your skills in mining and worse equipment than yours, getting a bigass ATH worth over 10.000 $, no… almost 15.000 after markup..

Especially after not being able to hit anything worth mentioning for months on end, even if you drop a few hundreds probes and just as many mines every single day. After a while you get fed up with NRF, NRF, Tiny, NRF, NRF, NRF, very poor, NRF, NNF, NRF, etc etc etc.

Don’t get me wrong, I congratulate that player with all my hart, but I also curse the rules that allow that to happen! What’s the point in skilling up? What’s the point in buying better equipment?

As for entertainment, there are better places to get it… Second Life springs to mind… Different flavor, that’s true, but it is a LOT bigger and offers a lot more freedom.

So… of course I would check out another RCE game. It is MA’s job to keep me hooked, and make me want to deposit, it is not my job to fill its bank account regardless of the quality of their product.

Exactly. I personally have a hard time finding out about the first one. Skilling up. Only point is to chip out and sell because when it comes to returns it doesn't seem to do much ... UNLESS you hare so incredibly much ... and yet again, I've heard ubers with ton of skills complaning too.

With the high skill levels also follows a requirement of using higher level gear on higher level mobs - otherwise you won't succeed much (An uber crafter told me this once and I happen to believe him more and more) - which means it is only getting more expensive to be more skilled ...

As i see it, the only reason for skilling is to get more HP.
the rest is just so... Limited :handjob:

  13. An excellent point... however, in regard to the part I bolded:

That is exactly the opposite of what I did. I have had 4 loots of over 10,000 PED. In each case, I got skills and resisted the temptation of uber gear. As a result, I pretty much hunt the same stuff I did before but the expense is less (armor decay drops due to increased evade; I miss fewer shots; less use of FAP; etc). So I don't agree that there is a requirement to go higher. Perhaps I mis-read what you meant, Lykke.

Yeah... and I forsee those skills that effect HP will increase in markup as people flee EU. Being able to take a beating will certainly increase someone's chances of looting the mob.

I voted "I dont Know". Mabe, probably. I need a game close to "ken the survivor" universe, close to my generation. The only thing is some guys should start to think about it cause there is a real part of the market to take here. EU cant be the exclusive mmorce on the market.
There is some serious though to have on this topic.

I have to agree to this.
And some little things are so annoying that sometimes I wish to log off and never come back.

Trade bug.. can be so annyoing when you have to try to trade a few things again and again and again, splitting the stack, trade items one by one etc.. happens more often lately.

Chat.. loosing focus while typing or getting stuck in chat when trying to shoot. Or stuck in wrong window.. :shots:

  16. I wasted too much time of my life and $$ in EU to quit. I know one day my time will come. Patience and some kind of mental illness is the key to this game.

And the people in EU are hard to beat in a social standpoint. Good times :)

VU 10 makes me mad and really upset because of all the shite people like me have to endure (if ya know what i mean) but meh.. it comes with a price.

  17. really to hard to tell

  18. For me the reason to skill is to be stronger for next landgrab to help my society. To be able to use next batch of high end L carbines for PK and to get higher in damage to max better L guns as XT because if I realize there is 0 progression for me anymore then there is no more fun.

  19. about the whole skill thing,,

MA stated that with higher skills come better loots.

I agree with what I have read in this post about the unskilled player coming into game and getting a huge hof, so then that makes it random.

So MA isn't being honest at all?

All that I have found is that it's just costing more to play at higher skill levels because of equipment, ammo use, etc.

I really don't follow MA's thinking about what they are doing.

  20. MindArk has never said that you get better loot with higher skill. They have said something along the line that higher skills help you kill stuff that has the CHANCE to give a higher loot
