This is the next in a series of discussions about changing Entropia Universe as explained HERE. In short I wanna use this thread to discuss what we, the players, would change about things in Entropia Universe if we had the chance and money to do so. For this discussion I would like to discus: What would you do different. Limited or Unlimited, are there to many or to little types, do you want them to be colorable or in any other way more customizable?
I really like the way that Arkadia developed the Herman Industries weapon line by making the task of choosing the right weapon as simple as possible. They did this by including a number in their weapon naming that reflects the minimum required skill level. I'm not familiar with all weapons in the game, but this is a great idea to guide people with what weapons to use for their skill level. I've seen many threads by players asking what weapons would be best, especially newbies, and having something in the item title or description as a guide would be helpful. Then again, there could be a guide already available that does this that I'm not aware of, but I would like to see the progression of game play become less frustrating, and more engaging and efficient.
I've always gone by the hit ability and max hit ability figures to determine what weapons are best for me, and it's usually one's that I've maxed-out on, so 10 and 10. However this doesn't tell you if you should stick with the same mobs and so be able to kill them more efficiently because you've maxed-out, or to go after slightly harder mobs against which you'll be slightly less efficient, although I suppose you get increased skills going after harder mobs... One change I would like to see is unique weapons BP's so that crafters could make custom weapons.
It's actually a bit hard to come up with any good ideas about the weapons. It's not so much that can be changed. One thing they could improve is the melee weapons, they should add something to it that the guns don't have to give the melee weapons some kind of benefit. My suggestion is that melee weapons should give some kind of defense benefit, could be a chance to deflect an attack and/or give the user extra armor. Things like the possibly to poison the melee weapons could also be something to add, even if that is a bit "fantasy game type" kind of element. Could be the melee version of amplifiers, but with different effects. Develop more kind of explosive could also be something, grenades, mines, torpedoes for boats and hoovers. I guess missiles for the space will come soon.
I would like to have fully customizable weapons, meaning having the chance to build one out of different components all having different impacts on the stats of the weapon. For instance longer barrel will give longer range, different stock will give better stability and therefor less misses, bigger clip will make the gun use more ammo and do more damage etc. This can not be done in the current EU planets as it will be bad for economy I guess, but on a new planet I will be building I could make it so that the guns can not leave my planet and guns from other planets can not enter mine.
this will probably work with melee as well, using different types of blades, grips and metals to make different swords.
I've always wanted to see dual wield or sword/shield implemented, just cause it would look so awesome.... -Obie-
is an nice idea razer, to build your own weapons... is an accessory from the most multiplayer-ego-shooter, but for entropia, where there are many rar & unique items the wrong place :( here is an link for sib charts, but not up to date...
Yes there are many rare and unique weapons in game right now, but building my planet so that weapons can not enter or leave my planet should solve that issue. And building your own weapons does not take away the possibility for unique weapons, might even add to that by having unique weapon parts. Jack Djonator Wolfskin looted an item 'Adjusted Rifle Barrel Mk. VI' and is added to the hall of fame. The item having some special stats, maybe next to increased range it also has some added accuracy, something people would really want on their PvP sniper rifle.
Dual Wield for both swords and guns is something we need indeed, probably saves a PP from building ever powerful weapons as well, as you can then just equip 2 Mod Mercs.
have not even 1 mod merc, lol. but you need to think about, the owner from an uber gun like the mm, are very advantage on events... what is then with 2 mm´s? not everybody have the money to buy 1...
I don't have one either and are nowhere near the money to be able to afford one, but don't you think that Star Mercury would go out looking for a second one if he was able to use 2 of them at the same time. Could also rise the prices a bit again (not sure if that's a good thing though).
