So I stumbled across this game by mistake the other day so I created an account and I downloaded the launcher but when I click on launch and try to login I keep getting a message saying that the entropia universe is offline for maintenance or upgrades. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the launcher but it didn't help. Can anyone help me?
Don't know if I can help you, but I wanna try. If you launch the client loader, does it say "All system are online" in the server status section, like in the image below? For what planet did you register? Are you sure you downloaded the content for that planet? (check under Tools in the Dynamic Content Tab) There is a repair option in the Tools window, you might wanna try that OH and welcome to EU and Entropia Planets

And I checked and it says that all the servers for all the planets are online and it believe I registered for Planet Arkadia but it doesn't matter because I have all of the content downloaded I can and I did try the repair option earlier today but it said there was nothing wrong with my installation... I might try it again though just in case
So I tried right clicking on it and running the launcher as the administrator but when I tried to login I still got the same message
Well, you've already tried uninstalling then re-installing which didn't seem to work, which is what I tried once when this happened to me some time ago - and it did work. Just wondering if there were any issues when you created the account, or if there was a 'long pause' during the installation stage. If this happens, some of the files needed are sometimes corrupted... No doubt you've sent a support case to MA?
Ya I've sent a support case but I did it yesterday sometime so I won't get a reply until tomorrow or later and no I never noticed any long pauses in the installation... do you think I should try uninstalling and re-installing again?
It's def' worth a try re-installing. BTW - I found that the long installation option is more reliable than the torrent one even though it takes longer...
what do you mean long installation and torrent one? all I did was click on the button on the entropia website that said it was the launcher download
Ok, a slight mistake there...There used to be two different ways of downloading the client, but not the case now - so ignore that. It's some time since I last used the install:P
So I finally got the time to reinstall the launcher but it still didn't work. I have the dynamic content installed and everything but I still keep getting the same stupid message
I would now do this as painful as it is. I would now completely uninstall EU through ctrl panel. I would then manually check that nothing at all to do with EU is in any folder. I would then clear the DNS cache by going into the dos mode and entering ipconfig/flushdns. I would then go to the site for the planet I wanted and download and install the client all over again. I would also check windows firewall and make sure that EU is an allowed prog. If it still doesn't work, then I haven't a clue...
