Yes, it was Funny, btw at the end Kim did show up in game. But the funniest part which I don't think got on video is when I had a friend ask the mob: "When will lag be fixed" Reply was: Mob ran away! :) It came back after a while..but still was funny as hell.
What exactly is it we're supposed to be looking at? I can't read the chat at all, due to poor resolution. Is the car that's being driven honestly some in-game asset? If so, how the heck is that a sci-fi car? WTF? I see a line of people queuing up for what should be a high-level MOB that somehow appears to be human-controlled? I see an avatar running over lava without taking damage. Yet, falling down the hills a few feet would ensure you'd get hurt not too long ago. Is this MA's final attempt to prove they're totally effing clueless? What the fuck was whoever thought this was a good idea thinking/smoking?
Not sure if these are new but these mobs had a title of "User Controlled". Kim had a few of these out last night at the rig. There should be some better videos out soon. TheProfitt was streaming as well and said he would post his version on youtube soon.
Let's put it this way. If this is Kim's idea of a good idea, Kim would have been fired for unprofessional and unethical behavior at pretty much every other game company out there. The only reason Kim got and still has the position he is in, is because his equally clueless daddy happens to runs MindArk. There, I said it.

Well, last night for a joke I asked if I could get TPed to Calypso from Toulan and his reply was: Sorry, I'm to drunk right now to pilot a mothership. There..have fun with that one! :) But all in all, it was great to see Kim online and I do hope this was a new system he was kind of showing off.
No, I haven't visited the noob oil rig, and I haven't seen that car before. I guess I also missed the memo that those are the requirements needed to have an opinion on something.
This is the most unscientific beta testing of any game I've ever seen. As to running over the lava and not getting health damage, you could do this all the time in the hell mines of RT. To complete the effect I would sometimes blow rollup smoke onto the screen to give the impression my boots were on fire :)
That the F** is your problem? lol. Why is this is a bad thing? If they develop a system that allows planet partners do controls mobs that can be used in different events and stuff, is that not a good thing? It's opening up more possibilities. And if it's something that it's part of a future pet system, why is this bad? The hatred against MA and Calypso is like a poison in this forum.
In that case, I stand corrected. I thought this was once again a case where the usual PP was given or felllt entitled to use a system others were not able to.
OK they did? dang. To make it clear here, we are not guessing about them being user controlled here. What the big deal here is that when the mobs showed up and you put your mouse over them, the text 'User Controlled' would show up which I have never seen before and am trying to see if this is something new or if MA has had this for a while now.

I had considered this thread only dealing with non-issues, so far. it has changed when reading Ed's full posts on CyreneForum, first one: I do agree that the criticism of MA is going too far at times, but I rarely really see Calypso being criticised, and at last development of missing systems. What is being criticised and absolutely rightfully so is the favoritism of MindArk towards Calypso and certain individuals in Calypso development shamelessly exploiting this situation. Both is wrong, unethical and unprofessional and worth pointing out again and again until it finally changes and all parties act like professionals.
But I can't understand why people gave negative feed back on this. I see this as a interesting development, but some just start their negative talk about MA and Calypso, and in this case I just can't understand why.....? Anyway, let's how this develops.
