Up at 6am on our ship and debarked about 7:30 Flew from miami to chicago and its now 4pm and 1extra time zone. Next stop portland and 2extra time zones. Then get into anchorage at 1am plus still another time zone. That will have been 23 hrs and will still have to get a taxi across town to my work where ill sleep on the floor till morning then grab a couple months of groceries quick and fly home 1-2 hrs depending on the plane and number of stops.
Woke up this morning and couldn't move due to a debilitating cold. Hmm funny when your sick, you think the world is going to end and start using words like "debilitating" to describe how sick you are!
Woke up. Hit the road on my bicycle in the rain. Made about 80 copies for class. Taught 3 kindergarten classes in English (I'm in Japan) and taught an after school kinder English club. Jumped on a train and taught a Grade 3 class. Jumped on another train and taught a grade 2 English class. Talked with the mothers (In Japanese) about today's class material and homework. Bought some sushi at the department store for my wife and cooked pasta/roast chicken for myself. Washed the dishes. Kissed my wife good night and logged on to Ent Planets. I forgot. There was an earthquake that day at about 8:35am Tokyo time but not much to get excited about.
Close.... Was Half Moon Kay, St. Thomas (we took a small boat from there to the British Virgin Islands to play with the dolphins), San Juan Puerto Rico, and Grand Turk (the picture above was taken at Grand Turk)
2nd day on the new job. Not the best job in the world, but it's not too bad. Quickly learning where everything goes. Sometimes money isn't everything. Nice to actually work somewhere where the politics and people talking behind your back plotting against you isn't everywhere. Also nice to be able to walk to work! :)
spend a wonderful weekend in switzerland, giving me lots of nostalgic feelings about the time I lived there
used http://ctrlq.org/youtube/playlists/ to convert 87+ youtube subscriptions in to 23 subs by changing most of them in to playlists instead of subscriptions.. will probably convert the other 23 later manually since most of those don't have playlists set up in them yet. Makes things a heck of a lot easier to manage on there. (this is on a special account I just use to stream stuff, not my main account that has probably close to a thousand subscriptions, lol)
dang how did I miss this? Happy late Birthday! @mastermesh, wow, I must be old as well, I think I watch an average of 2 youtube clips a week. (doesnt help that its blocked at work) Been working long hours lately, family comes home in ~1 month, so trying to get stuff done but not much time. Home Depot lost my order they were supposed to deliver on Monday with the lumber and plumbing for a bathroom in the basement, it still hasn't arrived :(
Last working day today and now have a 3 week holliday, will go to Pisa, Italy by plane next week and will be driving home with my parents and their motorhome in about 11 days. So will be visiting Italy, Switserland, France Belgium and Holland and maybe Germany and Luxemburg. Looking forward to that.
Right after the post above I got a message from a friend that he was going to watch football (or soccer for the ones from the other side of the big drink) in the pub, so I basically dropped everything, jumped on my bicycle and drove to town. If you know anything about football you probably know we Dutchies are nuts about it and all dress up in orange and of course that is what happened this time 1000's of orange people in town. To sum up the rest of the night: Beer, Beer, Goal from Spain, Beer, Beer, Goal from Holland, Beer, Beer, Goal from Holland, Beer, Goal from Holland, Beer, Goal from Holland, Beer, Goal from Holland, Beer, Beer, Beer, Sleep, Wake up feeling like crap :)
Chatted to a friend I sorta "like", found out they'd started going out with someone - felt a bit pants for rest of day... ho hum. #single (as the net kids say these days). In Entropia I did newbie mining, working towards a mission to collect lyst. Sorta an experiment. Not sure I'll ever do another one though. Wistrel
cut the centers out of two slices of bread and threw them on the frying pan, then cracked an egg into the middle of each and fried each side and put a slice of cheese on top, toasted the center off to the side to eat with butter and honey, splashed some on the egg/toast and washed it all down with a glass of milk. (I know that egg/toast like that is designed for kids, but I still love it for some reason)
