Some "comedy" screenshots. Still, good timing with MA getting the adverts in on hot space game launches ;)
Just reading their web page :D, 400 BILLION star systems!!!!! Hmm adds to xmas list, i lost so many months with to original elite (showing my age) :).
Already playing it, unfortunately docking is a lot simpler than it used to be :) highly recommend a HOTA joystick if u r serious about playing ED!
I love how they stick to the tradition of showing a fight at a space station, oh well but before I even think of getting Elite I'll need a new machine...
looking forward to playing but this was amusing: http://kotaku.com/an-honest-elite-dangerous-trailer-that-s-closer-to-t-1669889368
I wonder to buy it or not. I'm afraid there isn't much to do. And I don't want just to shoot ships all day.
Don't really like these space sim games, but it really does look good. Just a few days before the launch.
The original elite was awesome for its time. We'll see if the new one can compete with the current crop of space games out there.
I think partially this is why I've held off. I don't know if space trading is really for me. I enjoyed crawling round the cabin wearing a Rift but as to if I'd want to play it a lot... well yeh good question. I had Elite as a kid but I think I was a little too young to really understand it. I'm enjoying this book so far though. About halfway through the free preview. Seems fun so far http://www.amazon.co.uk/Elite-Mostl...ook/dp/B00KUXT3DC/ref=asap_B009XE5DZG?ie=UTF8
It looks boring but with star citizen 2 years in the future and entropia having this lag/bugs it will be good to have something to play that includes space.
I've just finished playing the various tutorial vids. It seems very much like the original including similar (modernised) ui. I didnt see any thing about interacting with other players (maybe you can shoot them?). I think this game may struggle but I'll be checking reviews. I did really enjoy the earlier versions.
