MindArk, you incompetent idiots...servers are fucked (video to follow)...we get a disturbance notice on the client...and you do a Longtooth Event as additional fuck up ??!? WTF were you thinking ?
They were thinking that they wanted to generate load so they could examine the current problems so they warned people and then they did it, Good job.
So, MA was able to perform a load test with live customers on individual servers while giving their customers an event and even warned them that there may be lag issues during the event which they will be watching for and looking to rectify for the total cost of $462. Not the most Professional way to do it but definitely wins an award for thinking out of the box..
Servers/chat systems/loot/movement have been laggy/buggy since days. It is not about this particular load test. Its about the whole thing. WOF running as well btw. But yes, I guess at least a big thank you for the warning would be approriate. ,-) Or in the words of MA : "Highest quality of communications...during the upcoming holiday season."
Oh, ok.. I thought we were just talking about the LongTooth Event.. If we are talking about "The Whole Thing" then I will bow out as I don't know "The Whole Story". But seeing that they had some issues with the latest release and they had some choices.. A. Roll the release back and customers would lose access to the upgrades while they worked out the issue in Dev. B. Keep going wit it, find the issue and get it repaired.Looks like they chose B. and seem to have the servers up again and running. I was only on for a few minutes but there was no lag that I saw and a lot of the items not working before seem to be back now. Overall, I'd give them a B+..
