In the last Arkadia newsletter we got this sneak preview of 'something', but what was it? It has the Smuggler logo on it, and looks like a vehicle, so I thought it would be a Smugglers HoverPod. Well today I was proven right, well kinda. It turns out it was a Smuggler Mech and it was attacking the Quarry today, with a few friends. As you can see in the video below it kinda looks like a Hoverpod with legs and a 2 big A$$ guns. >
I thought Cyrene was working on a mech system, what happened? Or is this something entirely different than what Cyrene was developing?
They were waiting on MA to release it..so I guess it looks like maybe MA maybe releasing it soon...a little to late for Cyrene but well, at least we may get it. OR... A-Team said hell with them and force their own system on MA
It is no more a mech than the Warriors, Troopers or Segs, or anything else on calypso is. (or snablesnots for that matter) It is no more player controlled than any other user spawned creature. (KONG running away around the empire state building when you start shooting it is a good indication that ND is still controlling it and it is not AI controlled) If it was an actual Mech, with an actual 'Mech System' you would see a unique avatar in the cockpit and you would see attachment slots on it when scanned.
I think at Cyrene we are talking about PVP mechs system and this is as Narfi said more like a robot may be controled by human.
Yep just an Arkadian Robot mob. I believe in Mechs on Cyrene no more than I believe in "Hard Launch" on Cyrene
Yes, but we have hope..must have hope that this will be the all awaited for Mesh system! Hope is all we have..and yes, kind of fun to hope a lot in EU :)
