I've heard people having problems with Vista when playing EU. If they play at all that is, since you mentioned EU doesn't run at you PC at all. Anyway, to those that EU plays, they seem to have a problem when dying (and dying is something regular in EU :rotfl:) and computer restarts. So imho it is better to install Windows XP and be sure that you will enjoy EU ;)

  3. I hope to soon get around to trying EU on linux running WINE, or CEDEGA- so I can get away from windows on my main machine.

The arrival of vista convinced me that there's not much future in windows - my opinion of course. The only thing I really use anymore is directx games - eveything else I'd be happy to do in linux.

Now that reminds me of something a little irrelevant but maybe not really irrelevant. Have you heard of Microsoft Surface?

    The link: http://www.microsoft.com/surface/

PS. Sorry Milky for hijacking your thread (I follow your footsteps Burger ;))

  6. This is a really exciting concept. It reminds me a lot of those old arcade table-top games.

Unfortunately I can't really see MS pulling this off. They will base it on Microsoft Vista, and like all Widoze versions it will prioritise system operations over user interactions. Hour-glass anyone?

This will become increasingly frustration and I can see the user giving the surface the 'finger', or even a whole fist fairly quickly.

Now, if they give their HCI strategies a root and branch rethink, a bit like the metisse desktop for linux did, they might get somewhere close to success.

  7. I refuse to downgrade to windows xp just to play a game I am not wasting that much money lol windows visa is so much better. Just MA has not caught up with it yet I will just have to wait for them to catch up and finally update.

  8. Why don't you create a new partition and then install xp on that (duel boot) thats what I have done on my main machine, although I did have EU running on Vista x64 the only trouble was it would crash the game when I died lol

    thanks

It can only be attributable to human error.
I have a fully functional creative intellience mechanism.

  10. Try to disable all sounds in the client loader. I have a friend with Vista and it helped. Of course you do not have sound but it is a workaround until MA fixed it

  11. Not only your opinion:clapping:

  12. You may need to right click and do "Run as administrator". I've played on Vista and it worked fine for me.
