  4. Thanks! I got a question what do you think is better to start as a hunter or a miner. Btw i already bought a sollomate opallo and some ammo so... its kind of one sided but any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi CFSZero, welcome to the forum. :)
Even as a miner, you will still run into mobs and need some hunting skill to survive them, so my personal opinion would be to collect all your TPs and gain some hunting and defensive skill in the process, then after you have all your TPs you can move around freely and look for mining locations. :)

Welcome to the forum and gratz for posting in your welcome thread. As Burgerman stated you need hunting skills to be able to survive in the wild. Also mining is a very expensive profession. So for just starting out hunting is probably your best bet.

Good advice from the King and Queen of the forum.

Welcome and have a look around the forum. You'll find plenty of insight on both mining and hunting, but keep in mind, skills are the most important aspect of either and these take time to develop.

  8. Welcome CFS!

Some sage advice there... the only thing to add is; find some good players to help you, escort you to help get TP's and to show you the ropes in whatever profession you choose.

This way, you'll understand how not to waste too much of the most precious resource.... your cash!

Good luck in your endeavours :)

  10. welcome to the club..

  11. Welcome to the forum. My advice is the same as burger and bunny (not to be confused with "bunny burgers") You should start with hunting but go find all the TP's. This is an undertaking that everyone must go through at first and can be a pain at times to find those that are WAY OUT THERE in Amathera but it is worth it in the end. In the process youll have to defend yourself and will die some. But do not be dicouraged at dying as it doesnt cost you anything really. I agree that you should find some people or perhaps a mentor to show you the ropes and help you out with questions and TP's and such. When looking for a mentor make sure you find one that is not just in it for the reward they get after you graduate. Mentorship has its benifits for you other then the help they give. When you are a mentee you get a boost in skill gains so you skill faster. Since skill can be cashed out being a mentee is profitable. The second thing to look out for when choosing a mentor is what times they play. Make sure that they are online while you are most of the time. aka I play MA time 04:00 - 06:00 usually so it would be silly to pick a mentor i found the one day i was on at 16:00 - 18:00 when that is not my usual time to play. Remember you only have a limited time to pick a mentor if that is what you want to do, and when you do you cannot chip skills in or out.

I am currently taking a mentee or two and i play from 04:00 - 06:00 usualy. So if that meets your times and you want to meet me just post a reply.
