EU & Win Vista

    I try to get EU runing under Windows Vista SP1
    I works fine until i try to log in, then it says that "EU is not available atm"

    Anyone of you got EU up and running under Vista?

    I have heard a lot of people with Vista having problems when running EU (reboot when they die, fixed by turning off all ingame sound) but not that they can not play at all. To me, the message you are getting sounds more like something is wrong with the servers than as if the problem is on your side? I am probably wrong though :D

    Welll thats a perfectly correct analasys, if it weren't for the fact that im also running a WinXP box from the same net(LAN) and that one works perfectly.
    So it seems that the server rejects Vista logons!? :-? Dont ask me why!?

    Do you have different firewall software on the Vista installation? Maybe the Vista builtin firewall is being over zealous?

    I have not many experience with the vista crap , but i installed EU on my laptop (Vista SP1) and never had any problems .
    Sounds that there are some probs with the vista firewall ?
    EU uses the normal HTTP transfer until it enters the entropia.exe (the main game) , then change to UDP transfer.
    Guess it wouldnt help much :(

    Found it!
    My AV software have an additional firewall, that one was blocking me

    HEY! Don't deactivate a Microsoft configured firewall. Bill Gates knows what's best for everyone and you must leave it that way or...or...Windows might work properly...wait...won't work prop....wait...forget it. Just do what you have to to get the damn game to work and get busy Hoffing!
