I just ran around and saw some glowy stuff at the horizon and then had the idea, how it would be if there was a planet that is totaly looking like the planet Pandora from Avatar the Movie. I know, there already is the official video game and all that, but having this whole environment including the creatures and unobtanium to mine inside Entropia Universe would totaly rock! So whoever is in charge there, please convince James Cameron to become a planet partner or at least share the license with someone to create such a place! :D Do you think this is a good or a bad idea?
I didnt see the movie yet but why dont you have a chat with Flapman? Maybe things can be mixed and matched or something. Just a thought. Regards. Ion
You ought to. I was extremely skeptical about it at first as well, and tried every excuse in the book to avoid going to the cinema. The trailers and shots I saw in advance somehow just did not appeal to me whatsoever. However, I thought it was a great movie, with absolutely stunning special effects, and I really am happy Lykke convinced me to just tag along. Definitly a movie we'll be getting on DVD (prolly a few times. With LOTR I also first bought the regular version, and later on the "extended directors cut release with deleted scenes etc").
Its not a bad idea but some how I don't think Cameron would ever come close to allowing it. Entropia Universe is still a "young" brand and I don't think they would go with them given their track record. Although SEE might have some influence but I am not sure. BTW I read an article about a prequal trilogy to the Alien series. Might be interesting to see if MA and the planet partners have grown enough to be taken notice by that franchise when it finally comes to fruition. hehe just for laughs >
I will be getting it on blueray when its out thats for sure.. Just leary now that someone like those people in that video above might pirate their way into it... (shudders)
I think they are gettin the hang of the landscapes a bit. Was mining here the other day and the bright colors at least made me think of Avatar.
