SEG hunting in team?

    While beacon mission takes time and effort to arrange, I came up with more simple team-robot-shooting idea:

    How about hunting second entities in team of 5-8? I was thinking we could do this in weekly basis if there is enought interest in this. Armor would be optional but guns should do 40-50 damage/sec. In vigi+6a I might survive one hit, sometimes not even that. Lots of teleporting is going to happen so tp chip is necessary too.

    Second entities are very hard mobs but they have low health level when compared to damage done by them. I can't solo one but in team they're easily doable. In team of 5-6 people one might get killed and another if getting critted upon.

    And of course, these metal beasts tend to give swirlies often. More frequent and more simple fun. How does that sound?

    I'm willing to give it a stab, literally! I'm rubbish with a gun but can get one if using my knife proves ineffective.

    It sounds like a great idea to me, and certainly cheaper/easier to repeat often than a beacon mission. :ok:

    Hehee, stabbing SEGs might be fun. Bring powerful one and cut those low loss link cables down.

    Sounds like a great idea, we were actually supposed to do a monthly forum hunt anyway, the 1st was great, the 2nd no-one turned up and its never been mentioned since:(. It seems hard these days to have enough of us online all at the same time, if we can, Im in:D

    Mora is right, alone it is a mess, together I think it will become a funny event

    I haven't seen segs anywhere else but south east of TI castle. One lesser tp jump from tp will get you close enought. That robot mine is surrounded by these, we could try to clear our way to the mine and see what's there.

    Don't worry, if this is any kind of success I'll make sure we'll do it again.

    We tried couple of SEGs after EuC Beacon #2. There were four of us, one doing melee and three shooting. We thought it would be easier in bigger team. If two got killed too quickly, SEG got rest of the team easily. 6 or more in team and SEGs should go down with crashing sounds. Few k's of ammo and we'll do 10-30 of them.

    Now the question, when? This sunday (today already)? I propose weekends as main hunting times.

    The trial against the SEGs was without doubt a success, with only 4 of us, Mora, Una, Nutter and my lowly self we managed to topple several, though they got us quite often as well, certainly a bigger team would do much better and could keep TPs to a minimum.

    I found the knife to be quite effective against these, certainly more so than my gun and by a long way. Also they seem to be Melee machines, I did not see one fire anything so my defenses were better (I have decent evade but rubbish dodge).

    I would say 6 could have a good chance against these but 8 would be better, as a thought we could also invite a few along to heal as we go, it may help keep us all in the field and would be a good experience for those who do not have the damage capability.

    As to when, if I am available I am there :). Weekends are normally good for me but I also play most evenings.
