Hmm, now Feffs, I can kill Feffs :). Might give this one a go :).

Edit, will have a go at this one, top prize in my category is a full set of Tiger armour, as a Guardian Tiger that would be rather nice:). Some how though I doubt I will be able to afford the price of knives for six hours a day.

 

Having thought some more about this I think I will give it a trial for an hour or two and see how far I get and what it costs me before assessing if I should continue. As I am in cat. 2 I would imagine there would be a lot of competitors so the competition will be stiff.

 

Having discovered that the entire robot race at Hads C was too much for me (:P) - and I still don't know how I took that screenshot without getting whacked - feffoids seems alot easier somehow :) Now, I like the sound of this event, but I didn't quite ascertain how you actually 'sign up' to the event, unless I missed something...

 

No need to sign up according to the post, if you just kill Feffs within the rules you are in the event :).

 

Bing so green is this even worth me burning up Peds if I am in the same category as people over 20 levels more advanced than me? Are psy powers allowed? I didn't see any mention of them...

 

I see no reason why Psy powers cannot be used. I suspect being in the lower end of the bracket you will have problems if you are aiming to win. I find myself in a similar situation. I am hoping the loot will be decent enough to make this worth doing but I am not holding my breath :). I also suspect there will be some kill stealing going on. I am planning on trying it for an hour to see what happens.

 

Well, I have made a start. I logged in earlier today and dusted off the Kobold armour, I have hardly ever used it as I got it about two days before they increased the regen on Feffs.

I got myself into position on the edge of a Feffoid area and waited until 1800 when I attacked my first Feff of the evening. This session lasted an hour and a few minutes, in that time I managed to kill 54 Feffs, several Merps a few Combibo and two Tezalpods. I made a note of the points as I went and reckon I now have 215 points. I have no idea if that is good or bad going for an hour :). I burnt 226 PED off of a Kesmek Bett in that time but did manage to make a profit which was nice :).

After about 55 minutes the Feff spawn dried up, I was the only one in that area so as to avoid people stealing kills. I will return in a couple of hours and try again.

 

I returned to my previous location for about 30 minutes, killed a further 18 Feffs, they were scarce gained another 67 points and scored a better global:-

After, I went to chat with Tiger and PBG at Corinth. Some higher maturities attacked so I had a go for 10 or 15 minutes, unfortunately I lost count of how many I killed but there was not many, I did however manage another global:-

Was pleased to find I could take a Champion with no problems other than it being a bit slow, mind you Tiger was kindly healing me at the time so i was paying no attention to my health bar :).

So far a very good event for Cee, I doubt I will get placed but I may come out ahead :).

I did have a chat with Slarty while we were both slaying these and spotted at least one global from him. He may have got more.

Anyone else got anything to report on this?

 

Been at it again today, the area I have been using now has a very sparse population of Feffs, I thought they were going to increase the spawn! Maybe only in certain areas. Spent about 90 minutes at it in two sessions so far and today was quite poor loot wise. I have not yet had a chance to work it out and may decide not to what with ignorance being bliss and all :). However I still find that "I like big butts and I cannot lie", better leave that one there :).

I did kill a further 42 Feffs for a further 177 points. I hope when the results are published that the points of the winners are given, that way I will be able to work out how many hours I would need to be on line to match it. If I have an idea of how far away I am I will know if I should compete next year :). I hope to get back on-line sometime tonight for some more Feff slaying.

 

I continued with two other sessions today killing 85 Feffs for a further 331 points. I have probably missed some and have probably counted some twice, it's tricky keeping track :). I have almost burnt the Bett and managed ended the day about 200 PED down, which evens out nicely with yesterday :).

I made a rough guess at the points and kills from Corinth yesterday and reckon i have now killed a total of about 209 Feffs for about 840 points, I have just about broken even on the PED front so am quite happy with the result. guess I should check my skills really but too late for that now so I will do it tomorrow :).

I am sure also enjoying the event, but in a supporting role instead: 'softening' mobs for a guy who is competing in the Araneatrox group; Patrik Stormer Deluxe from Amethera Demons. 'Softening' the mobs means we help killing the mobs, but let Stormer do most damage (which is not that hard to get to work with his gear lol) so he gets the loot and the points for the event...

Some intense shooting, but it's great fun! It's definitely a lot about tactics, planning and organisation if you want to get in the top spots of these Merry Mayhem events. From reading the global messages it seems people are soloing those mobs, but in reality we are actually a few more people shooting at them :)

 

I had guessed as much :) I know I have no chance of winning but that isn't really what it is about for me :). I'm just enjoying myself and trying to see how well I can do which is why I am keeping a rough tally of the points. Hope your team effort pays off and that he does well, I'm guessing there is an LA at stake in your category, would be a valuable asset for the soc. or for any group of players. Im also support member, in last two days i fapped him for about 15 hours :)

Perhaps you meant you have done 15 hours of the other type of fapping...? :hehe:

Managed an hour or so on line last night and returned to the Feff hunt, I failed miserably to keep any scores as I was just too tired. Instead I went for a hit and hope scenario, the hitting worked out well but the hopping turned out to be misguided. Once again the returns were poor. From my own perspective the first say 12 hours of this event did give some reward but after that it seems the loot was reduced somewhat. No matter, I shall continue later and see if MA has the decency to reward my efforts with a little something :).
