Ok, on many areas, be it fog or trees or grass, I have to rotate the camera around me, as viewing into certain directions will drop the frame rate to 1. Very annoying while hunting or flying around = unplayable Any other solution then setting graphics detail to low ?
back when I used to have invisible wall problems in apartment estates my solution was to look down so that the camera was only loading the stuff directly below my avatars feet to render... that made the other stuff have a few more seconds to load... back several years ago I remember some oddball sky texture bug that hit neas a lot where if you aimed camera in third person a certain angle you'd see nothing but blue sky texture and nothing else... sounds similar to what you are experiencing...
I remember the "sky only bug". But today its usaully CE2 grassy areas or some foggy light setting that forces a high end PC to go down. But sometimes it happens whiel flying or hunting in a lot of areas. If I turn right looking at the woods and mobs it turns unplayable...if I rotate the camera a little to the left, everything will be back at 60fps@1920x1080. Very annoying...
Best thing to do is to tell support with coordinates and direction. But yeh I found the terrain quality slider makes a world of difference.
I actually did some testing at corinth tower once... there was very little difference in appearance above 60% TQ rating
