To answer your question, in as few words as possible Erach, no I am not depositing heavily.....this game is nothing but luck....and no I am not getting rich. 8)
I can sort of see what you're asking here. Whenever I ask someone who get's regular globals, they have usually spent more than they get back - especially when crafting. Bunny, I guess from your answer that this is an unusual run of luck, but at the same time you have probably paid your due up to now and would be lucky to break even. I think every player would like to know the 'optimum' deposit level where the game says 'ok you risk enough now you're allowed to win occasionally' but I'm not sure if that's how it really works at the end of the day. I do think there is a point below which you have little or NO chance of ever even breaking even but I wouldn't hazard a guess at where that is. Maybe we should have a anonymous survey on EuC over a couple of months and we could summarise the results to see if there is any kind of pattern?
Heh, I have accepted the fact that I will get little or no loot while hunting even though I keep my finger ready to push the Print Screen Button to save my first global! As far as i'm concerned I only lose (if you can say I lose since I'm not depositing). In the end the only thing that really matters is skill gaining! Nothing else I believe...
Another possible influence on loots and globals might be if you are about to unlock a hidden skill. Just before I unlocked serendipity and later coolness, I noticed my loots were much better leading up to the unlock. After the skill unlocked the loots went back down to normal "NO LOOT" condition. Bunny recently unlocked coolness, so perhaps that is having a similar effect on her loots? Bunny has played PE/EU for several hours almost every day for the past two years, and as she cannot afford to deposit very much or often, I have watched her many times gathering sweat for hours, or skilling using very low level/low ammo burn weapons, but still always participating in EU, so perhaps the number of hours played each week also is an influence on loot?
