Global 2008-03-31 - Weekend ups and downs.

    Hi all,

    This weekend was full of ups and downs. I explain some of the large ones.

    Saturday night I was at cp training my handgun a bit. I was doing well blasting everything in sight, droping the occational bomb and probe. I droped one and got this.

    So i start out east since that is the way the ship is. Now this is not a bad thing except that cp is usually prettly heavily populated. I try and hurry and what happens, Im heavy from hunting and not refining the animal hides. I weigh 202 kg. Now i dont want to turn off my finder and lose the ship. So i try and walk there avoiding mobs. Then a Clan Warlord spawns on my head and ... you guessed it attacks me. Now this is not a big deal i just look at the general direction the space ship is in and kill him. But it was not that simple. 3 more pops happened and 4 wandered in. So here i am trying to find my ship before someone else does and at the same time trying to kill these mobs so i dont end up really trying to guess my way to the ship from the revive. After 6 or 7 minutes of blasting i prevail and set off for my ship. I knew it was 180 meters east so i check my point and run that way. I get to where i think the ship should be and ... you guessed it NOTHING. I figgure i may have been mistaken but nope 30 minutes of searching later still no ship. So i have one thing to say PEOPLE SUCK! Whoever stole my ship i hope you are happy that you SUCK and are a greedy #$$*(&.

    Sunday night i went hunting with Moo. We went for Umbra's but found out quickly that the target of choice for these is still big toe city. So we went for the armax to the north. After a quick run in with a bull provider that ate Moo for breakfast. And the bull prov add that later ate me. A nice Bull Old gave me a new gun to replace my ever growing shortage of UL2's.

    All in all it was a good weekend I am still pissed about the Spaceship however. Who knows it is could have been a 35 ped beacon. I will never know.

    Sorry to hear about the Spaceship... I always wondered if I'd lose one like that, but I'm happy to admit that I've never been to CP so be satisfied in knowing that I was not the one who stole it.

    Anyway, my real question is -- Where is Big Toe City?

    Sorry to hear about this. Might not have been another player who stole it though. Did you see a Spaceship global message during the time you searched for it? Maybe spaceships automatically disappears after a little while, just like an unlooted carcass does. I have no idea though, only speculating.

    Still doesn't help you much :) Might only reduce your present feeling about the common Entropia player. Some people do still suck though... :)

    DOH! I thought you meant Crystal Palace. I guess I've read too many of Tigresses' posts. With your questions about armor plating I figured you'd need it at Crystal Palace. :Sniper:

    Still, I didn't steal any spaceships at Camp Phoenix either. :p

    And about the Weirdo comment... Yeah... so? :D

    Spaceship... Sometimes a mining probe or bomb will indicate "A strange signal is picked up." It will show you the direction to the robot spaceship. They are small vehicles usually defended by two Drone Gen 1's or so I've seen. On the back of the ship is an Equipment hatch ( a red button ) that will reveal the loot after you operate it. After that, the ship blows up.

    Thanks for the thought. I was wondering about that also. It did take me a good 10 minutes to get to the location that it would have been at. There were several space ship globals in that time but i diddnt see anyone by those names there. There were people and I may have missed a global with a SS. Im not sure really. I would like to think that the global diddnt get caned because I diddnt get to it in time. At least someone would have profit from it even if it wasnt me and even though they would be thieves worthy of much PVP retribution.

    James when you get the strange signal the ship will be, I believe, 200 m away so it will not be in your line of site. Until you get to where you can see it, it is like flying with a blindfold LOL. You get these space ships with either probes or bombs. Mostly probes though. :)

    I fly blindfolded most of the time anyway, so I didn't notice a difference. HEHE

    They are tricky to locate at times, especially in the forest near Solfais Crater.

    Mining towers are any find over 4ooo peds. When you get a tower you have to wait for 24 hours before you recieve your first installment. You get this by clicking on the tower.
